The crowd cheered. Nidorino was down for the count. Exeggutor was also in its last leg but it was holding it. Nidorino had hit Exeggutor with 'Horn Drill' and 'Sludge bomb' which was supper effective against it but it was also hit with 'Confusion', 'Barrage', and 'Wood Hammer'. Exeggutor was also able to heal itself completely.
Meanwhile, the effect of 'Grassy Terrain' and 'Sunny day' had worn off.

"Hold on. Believe in the kid. I think he would give us a surprise" replied Angela with a smirk on her face.
Meanwhile, people from the other 2 starter families were serious.
"Damn!! I cannot believe that the kid who has not even been a trainer for a year could fight a gym leader in a serious battle. That Nidorino is something else." Said some guy from the Zard family.
"Yes, Venu family has been extremely lucky to get that kid on its side. But even though, I don't see the kid winning this gym battle. The kid had already lost 2 of his Pokemon and the gym leader still has 3 Pokemons left"
"That was a nice battle but I don't think that you could win. You only have 1 Pokemon left." Said Renee.
"I don't think that you should celebrate this fast." Replied Axel.
Just as the dust was fully cleared, everyone could see a 10 feet tall Pokemon. It was Beedrill. It was already out.
"My GODDD!!! What is this monstrosity?"
"I have never in my life seen a Beedrill so big"
The crowd was going crazy after seeing Beedrill. Beedrill naturally attracted a lot of attention.
"It seems is Axel's most powerful Pokemon," said someone from the league.
"Yes, the Venu family had done a good job hiding Axel's power. We didn't even know that he had such a massive Beedrill. This is going to be interesting" said the other person from the league.
"Let the battle Begin!!!" Shouted Teena.
"Exeggutor, 'Solar Beam'"
"Beedrill, 'Fell Stinger'"
And Exeggutor fell to the ground unconscious. The battle was decided in 1 move.
"Exeggutor is unable to battle. The winner of this round is challenger Axel Blaze. The gym leader is requested to use her next Pokemon" said Teena.
Exeggutor was exhausted and was on its last leg. Renee knew that Exeggutor would lose the next battle but she hoped that it would at least be able to injure the next Pokemon a little bit. But it seems it was not able to instead Beedrill's attack was raised due to Fell Stinger.
If the opponent is knocked out by this move (Fell Stinger), the attack stat of the user raises by 3 times. But since Beedrill had not completely mastered the move, it increased Beedrill's attack by 1 time. But that was also a lot in this battle where even a nanosecond was valuable.

An indigo, bipedal Pokemon with rudimentary hands and feet appeared. It had beady red eyes and a small mouth. On its head was a massive red flower with 5 bulky petals and an orange-brown center. It was Vileplume.

Beedrill with the help of its agility successfully dodged the attack. Meanwhile, Vileplume was successful in using 'Sunny day'
Axel knew that Vileplume also knew 'Grassy Terrain' but Axel didn't want to give it a chance to use it. A combination of 'Grassy Terrain' and 'Sunny day' would make 'Solar Beam' deadly like last time and he didn't want it to happen again.
