"This and that is different Axel. You must know that those places have Pokemon rangers patrolling the areas. They eliminate threats that are higher than a trainer could handle. Like when traveling the cities on foot, you must reveal your trainer identity card. Some of the places only approve if you are an intermediate trainer. This is done cause those places will be filled with rare ranked Pokemons. In some of the places, the rangers have an agreement with the overlord Pokemon of that Tertiary, hence making it safe.
But this place is an unknown island which has only been explored for a couple of months. It has not been controlled like the ranger's situation. You have also never been to an unknown island before so you have zero experience. If I was your mentor I would have suggested you to cancel the trip. But dad thinks that it will make you stronger and more mature.
So, I suggest that you don't go solo just cause your group is a bit annoying"
Bill's voice was rising with each second. He was a Pokemon explorer so he had plenty of experience on the field. He had seen many inexperienced trainers dying just cause they thought that they could handle the place. But he also knew that it was not Axel's fault so, he felt responsible for at least giving him a warning.
Axel took some seconds to take that in. Seeing how serious Blue was, he immediately decided to go with the group. Axel thanked Blue for the advice and also thanked Arceus that he called Blue before doing it.
"Alright stay safe Axel. I did tell you to stay in the group but do not trust them. They also have never been in the wild so if some accident occurs, those inexperienced kids would be paralyzed and would think of their own safety. You are a bit better in that case. You have faced the aura from Charizard. So, if you are in such a situation, observe the situation and make your safety a top priority. That is all I can say and also follow the advice of the explorer team. Bye" said Blue and hung off the phone.
Axel decided to give those idiot kids a try. He was also excited about talking with Lance. It would not hurt to talk to a future champion potential person.
Axel was in the dining hall right now. He started to search for the group and found out that all of them were in the training ground talking. An explorer, part of the team was also with them. He saw Axel coming and said, "This is the training ground. Here is still half a day to reach the unknown island. You, kids, could practice and battle here. If you want to be in the group, it is better to get to know each other."
Blue had said to follow the advice of these explorers so Axel thought to give it try. The group also saw Axel coming and Lorelai was the first to speak, "Hey Axel, do you want to train too?"
"Yes, it would not hurt to try. Besides, we must know our strength if we want to work as a group", replied Axel slowly walking towards them."
"Ohh, I thought that Mr. Famous here would be going solo,", Ryker remarked sneakily.
"Then you thought wrong", replied Axel.
This Ryker guy was always on to him. 'What is this guy's problem?' thought Axel.
"Why don't we decide who to fight by drawing lots? We each would have 1 match or 2 since we are only 5 of them.", suggested Lyra. Everyone was okay with it. Lance also nodded his head.
After drawing lots, the results were:
The girls thought to go first. They had decided that it would be a 1 on 1 battle. The explorer decided to be the referee in their matches. Both of the girls got into the arena and they both threw the Pokeball at the same time.
Both of them had thrown their Pokemons out.
"Now that's an interesting choice.", said Axel softly.
"On one hand we have Lorelai, who started with Slowbro, an unknown ranked Pokemon but on the other hand, we have Lyra who started with Wartortle who is just a common ranked Pokemon. Who do you think would win?" asked Ryker.
"I think Slowbro would win.", said Lance.
This was the first time that Axel had heard Lance speak.
"Why? Cause Wartortle is only a common ranked Pokemon?", asked Ryker.
"Yes and also that Slowbro is strong.", replied Lance.
"But you should also not underestimate Lyra.", said Ryker in his defense.
This certainly was an interesting choice. Slowbro was a fully evolved Pokemon. When a Pokemon fully evolves, it was generally more powerful than non evolved Pokemon. Plus Slowbro is a water and Physic Pokemon. However, Wartortle was also no joke. Normally a common Pokemon would be weaker than a fully evolved Pokemon but Wartortle had 3 evolution stages while Slowbro had only 2. Further, this Wartortle had been trained in Toise family. It had basically grown up with Lyra. So, it won't be an easy fight.
