The first he did was to show sincerity.
"Arise." said Axel softly.
Slowly, his shadow started to distort and a Pokemon appeared outside from his shadow.
"What the fuck is that?" Everyone was scared and surprised by this action. A Pokemon had come out of Axel's shadow.
"He has a Shedinja?", shouted Ryker almost laughing.
Apart from Nidorino, Beedrill, and Absol, Axel had not shown any of his Pokemon to the group for 2 reasons. First, he wanted to conceal his future powers and Second, there was not enough time cause they wanted to catch their Pokemon as fast as they can.
Axel didn't give much thought to the reaction of the group and continued, "Hello, Piloswine. My name is Axel and I am a trainer. I feel that you are a Pokemon with good potential and want to catch you. Why don't we have a battle and if I win then join my team". Axel had said these words from his heart.
However, Piloswine was in no mood to listen to him. So, it was directly attacked with hurls of ice.
"Isn't that 'Ice shard'?" asked Lyra
"Yes, it is. This Piloswine is powerful. I regret not catching it first.", replied Lorelai.
The 'Ice shard' though a beautiful and creative move was slow for Shedinja and it dodge the attack. Since that its attack was not working, Piloswine came up with a full-body 'Takedown' to attack Shedinja but it was also perfectly dodged. After dodging couple more attacks, Piloswine began to realize that it may not be Shedinja's opponent.
"Marcus, why don't we start? 'Shadow ball'" .
A black ball makes hurling down and hit Piloswine in its face. Piloswine was hurt. "Marcus is my most powerful Pokemon but it was my weakest Pokemon in the past. If you join me, I would train you to be a powerful Pokemon"
Piloswine gave it a long thought. With its power, it was doubtful that it could get its revenge on Tyranitar but if it followed this human there may be a chance to do it. Its mother had always said that humans have many training methods to make them powerful, so why not try? Since there doesn't seem to be any way to be more powerful, Piloswine looked at Axel and then nodded its head.
"Alright then. Finally, I caught my Pokemon" said Axel with a smile and then threw the Pokeball to catch it. Since Piloswine had already agreed, it was a confirmed catch.
His group started to walk toward him.
"Congrats Axel. I think that it is a very good Pokemon", said Lorelai congratulating him.
"Yes, me too.", said Lyra.
"Thanks. Now, since all of us had caught our Pokemon, why don't we go to the camp and decide to plan our next move" said Axel. Since they had come to this unknown island, they had not met with any misfortune so the group still thought that it was like a vacation trip down here. They were still not serious about this trip which made Axel sigh.
'Well, they will realize it sooner a later' thought Axel. Though they had not met with a powerful Pokemon on this trip who may kill them, it didn't mean that they would be safe for 2 months. That was why he always put Shedinja in his shadow for protection.
Axel and the group went to their camp to plan for the rest of the trip. The girls were playing with Absol and the boys were talking about their next move. Absol had automatically been the heart of the team. She was cute, she was curious and she was a baby. Everybody liked her playful character. It had not been 3 months since Absol was born so, Axel had just let it play for a while.
After playing with Absol, the girls also became serious about their plans. After thinking about it for an hour, they came to a collective decision.
1. They would train their Pokemon as they like.
2. Once every 3 days, they would go outside to hunt and also change the camp.
3. They would fight each other every 7 days until the 2 months are over.
So, the team was finalized:
Ryker- Magmar (uncommon rank)
Lyra- Poliwrath (rare rank)
Lorelai- Jynx (uncommon rank)
Lance- Arcanine (uncommon rank)
Axel- Piloswine (rare rank)
These 2 months were important for Axel. Almost all of his Pokemon were getting an evolution or an upgrade in their powers so he must make a good plan for it.
The upgrades and evolution were:
1. Shedinja- Evolve to elemental rank.
2. Beedrill- Evolve to elemental rank.
3. Nidorino- Evolve to elemental rank.
4. Charmeleon- Evolve to Charizard.
5. Magikarp- Evolve to Gyarados.
6. Bulbasaur- Evolve to Ivysaur.
Among all of them, evolving Beedrill was the easiest, and evolving Nidorino was the hardest. Axel could evolve Beedrill right now by using 'Perception' (System reward) to grade up 'Resolve'. But Axel wanted to raise all the stats of Beedrill to max before doing it.
Magikarp would also evolve after 2 weeks.
Shedinja and Beedrill would evolve after all of its stats are A++ which was not so difficult.
Axel could feel that Charmeleon was close to the process of evolution.
The only problem was Nidorino. Somehow, its growth has been halted. Axel could not blame Nidorino for it. Maybe it was his problem cause he was distracted taking care of a lot of Pokemon but he must get serious about it now. Axel had thought to thoroughly focus on Nidorino's future for now.
However, the most difficult thing was to hide his Pokemon's progress. He didn't want his secrets to be revealed to the 3 starter families and the league. So, he said that they should train alone. Each would have a big training ground for themselves which would be near the other. Axel said that he didn't want to be disturbed while training and everyone agreed. Maybe they didn't want to leak their secrets either. Anyhow, Axel was happy that everyone agreed.
