There were not many changes that had happened. Hidden power had 70% mastery. Some of the moves have leveled up a bit, especially psychic moves. One interesting thing was the Pokemon rank. Previously, this had not been mentioned. His 'Identify' leveling up may have done it.
Another striking thing was that most of the psychic moves were at level 39 but except for Telekinesis, none of them had leveled up to 40.
This meant that level 40 was a big hurdle that a Pokemon had to pass. The recent system reward on move comprehension came at the right time. Otherwise, Axel didn't have any knowledge on how to improve to level 40.

The changes were not so huge. Piloswine had leveled its moves a lot before. Some of the moves were stuck in level 39 which he expected. However, Axel could feel that its stats had improved a lot. The system showed all the stats as F but he knew that there was some improvement.
He was satisfied with the progress and fell asleep immediately.
The tide went on for 3 more days and now it was finished.
"Hector, how many men did we lose?", asked Hector.
Axel and Hector were now tallying the number of causalities after the tide was over.
"Our base has lost 15,238 soldiers. 5,000 are permanently injured and can no longer serve as a soldier. 3,000 are seriously injured and are still being treated while there are only 4,000 soldiers who have minor injuries."
"So we lost close to 35% of soldiers. Sigh.", said Axel.
"Sir, I think you should celebrate that we lost so less. The south base had lost around 75% of the soldiers, east and west base lost around 60% of their soldiers. Your strategy had worked sir. If the other base didn't follow your strategy we may have been completely wiped out. So, it is a thing to celebrate."
All the soldiers and citizens of the town were happy. They were having a celebration and a big banquet was organized to reward those who had made the most contribution.
Axel was number 1 on the list. He was the one who had come up with a new strategy when everyone had given up hope. He was the one who had killed most of the elemental-ranked Pokemon. He was the one who had defeated the pseudo-king-ranked Pokemon.
"Sir, are you really not going to the banquet? You are the hero of this tide.", said Hector.
"I don't believe that I am a hero, Hector. We lost so many."
The death of those 15,000 soldiers was still haunting his dreams. Hector was a veteran soldier and he was used to such carnage but Axel was not. This was the first time he had seen a dead body and this was the first time he was responsible for it.
Hector knew what Axel was going through but Axel was his leader and he wanted his leader to be strong.
"Permission to speak freely sir.", said Hector.
"You don't have to be so stiff Hector. Tell me."
"Your strategy was the only thing that made us survive this tide. If you were not here, all of us would have died. At first, we all thought that you are some kid from a rich background but you took the stand and did your job.
Now you are the hero of this tide. I know you are just a kid and this is your first time. I know it can be hard for the first time but as of right now, you are still the north base zone commander, hero of the tide, and savior of Burbos town.
People need to see their savior so that they could live another day. Many have lost their families. So stand up and come to me in this banquet, sir."
Axel was angry at first but he calmed down. He knew that Hector was right and he was just acting like a kid. He could pout and cry after the banquet but right now he was still a zone commander.
So, he decided to go to the banquet. The banquet was going to be held in 2 hours and he needed to be ready for it. He gave his Pokemon some well-deserved rest but still took Shedinja in his shadows.
After the tide, he realized how fragile his life was. He needed protection at all times so he decided to carry Shedinja in his shadow.
"Alright Hector, let's go to the banquet."
