Pokémon: Chronicles of Freedom Chapter 636

That night, Cain used the Pokémon world's signature transport system to send out two packages.

The recipients of these packages were Steven and Cynthia.

After Cynthia had left, she kept Cain's contact information and wanted to leverage their connection to ask his mentor, Matsuda Takashi, for help in creating advanced Pokéblocks, ideally suited to her Pokémon's current state.

Cain immediately agreed. All the information about Cynthia's Pokémon was stored in his system, giving him deep insights. Moreover, with his skills, he had no trouble crafting exclusive advanced Pokéblocks for them.

Or, to be bolder, after obtaining all the data from old Matsuda, Cain had become more proficient than his own mentor at creating advanced Pokéblocks.

Creating advanced Pokéblocks for Cynthia would not only earn her favor but also a considerable sum of money.

With closer contact, seeking her help in the future would become much easier.

As for what he sent Steven, it was exactly what he had requested: advanced Pokéblocks.

Ever since his Metagross had evolved, its exclusive Pokéblock recipe required adjustments. When Steven learned that Cain had crafted exclusive Pokéblocks for all of Cynthia's Pokémon, he also requested Cain to do the same for his team.

Under the pretense of fairness—claiming he shouldn't favor one friend over another—Steven tasked Cain with making Pokéblocks for his Pokémon as well.

Someone offering money? Cain couldn't refuse.

So, that night, Cain sent out two boxes of exclusive advanced Pokéblocks.

Because he had plans to leave the next day.

Everything in Leafy Town was on track. The gym was under Skye's management, so there wasn't much to worry about for now.

The Heaven team was also steadily growing. After giving Alec and the other two members some fairly strong Pokémon, their abilities had noticeably improved.

If they could master the Pokémon Cain had given them, they would be on the brink of reaching the advanced level.

As for Leafy Town itself, there was no cause for concern.

With Master Matsuda Takashi, a veteran expert, as the town's guardian, and the gradual establishment of the Joy and Jenny families, safety was ensured.

In addition to these two families, the Stone family had sent some members since the entire commercial street had been developed. As beneficiaries, they had to protect the street, which would generate substantial income.

On the other hand, the artificial lake near the gym was also nearly complete.

After a month of hard work, through the combined efforts of the residents and various Pokémon, a massive artificial lake had been successfully excavated.

The next step would be to fill the lake, release some wild Water-type Pokémon, and stock it with fry and other aquatic products.

Once completed, the townspeople would earn a significant income from the aquatic business.

These plans had been in place since Cain arrived. Skye would oversee them, and Cain had already discussed them with the mayor.

Would the mayor of Leafy Town dare say "no" to Cain?

In the town, anyone could be challenged—except Cain. No one wanted trouble with him.

The nickname "Twin Stars of Hoenn" was no longer confined to the town; it had spread across the entire region.

Especially after the battle between Cain and Cynthia, the League, riding the wave of public excitement, had further boosted the fame of Cain and Steven.

Now, the treatment they received in Hoenn was akin to what Lance received in Kanto and Cynthia in Sinnoh.

Of course, Hoenn wasn't only promoting these two, but they were at the peak of their prominence.

So how could the mayor refuse?

Now, his position was merely symbolic. All he needed was Cain's approval to avoid any problems.

The League had intentionally placed him there to give Cain a free hand. If things failed, it wouldn't matter, as Leafy Town was one of the smallest in Hoenn.

However, progress had far exceeded expectations. With the combined efforts of many forces and Cain serving as the link between them, the town had taken off.

It was already catching up to Verdanturf Town, a more developed settlement.

With everything in place, Cain also went to the mountain to give his final instructions.

The Carbink colony was still not ready to be revealed publicly, so Cain instructed Minister Carbink to continue expanding their homes underground. As for food, Cain would send his Pokémon daily to drop it off at the cave entrance.

Cain had once entered the cave excavated by the Carbink and found it had already reached a considerable size.

Though not as impressive as Mythical Island, the cave walls now had more diamonds embedded in them.

If they continued to work hard, the colony could grow even larger than the one on Mythical Island, especially with Cain's food supply.

If they ever gained a Diancie, the Carbink colony could experience explosive growth.

In addition to the Carbink, Cain also said goodbye to Altaria.

He explained that he would be away for some time but left a large amount of Pokéblocks for them to eat in his absence.

Altaria said nothing, but the two Swablu were inconsolable. Without Cain, they would have no one to play with, and with tears in their eyes, they pleaded to go with him.

Before Cain could refuse, their mother, Altaria, had already done so.

The two Swablu didn't even have basic self-defense skills yet, let alone a sense of battle. They hadn't faced the trials of combat and were not ready to leave.

Though unhappy, there was nothing they could do.

Cain had already noticed the determined look in Altaria's eyes, indicating she was ready to be stricter with them and begin serious training until they could fend for themselves.

Cain didn't want to bring them along anyway. This time, his journey would be complicated, and he didn't want them to have any connection to Team Rocket.

With everything on the mountain and in the backyard under Altaria's care, Cain felt reassured.

At her quasi-elite peak level, Altaria could protect the small area without any trouble.

The next day, before dawn, Cain departed silently.

This time, he was going to reclaim something that had been his in a past life.
