Pokémon Court Chapter 550

Things ended so abruptly that Terrance didn’t even know what Kirlia had said to Totem Kommo-o. Yet, Totem Kommo-o, in the face of the Aether Foundation taking away the Jangmo-o, was actually willing to back down.

“Hello, I’m Wicke from the Aether Foundation. Thank you for your help, but I must now ask you to leave this area.”

Although her words were quite firm, coming from this woman’s mouth, they somehow sounded gentle.

Terrance hesitated and asked, “Why?”

Vast Poni Canyon wasn’t private property or anything like that. Even if there was some unknown reason, the Aether Foundation’s demand that he leave was just too suspicious.

Wicke looked troubled, but the other Aether Foundation employees weren’t as polite. They repeatedly warned Terrance that the area would soon become dangerous.

Terrance was left in a daze. Just as he was about to speak, one of the employees stammered and shouted, interrupting everyone.

“Branch—Branch Chief Wicke, it—it has appeared!!”

Upon hearing that, Wicke’s expression changed. She looked up at the sky, her face full of seriousness.

In the sky, a wave of light suddenly appeared in the shape of a portal. One end of the portal, which connected to the void, was deep blue. Apart from that, a light blue color took up most of it. At the front of the portal, it was as if a large hole had formed—concentric rings of purple, deep blue, and light blue made up this hole, creating a bizarre and eerie sight.

“This is too much.” Terrance took a small step back, and the Rotom Pokédex behind him immediately shouted, “Aaaaahhhh…” Content orıginally comes from 𝗇𝗈𝗏𝖾𝗅•𝖿𝗂𝗋𝖾•𝗇𝖾𝗍

The mouth of the portal continued to tremble. With each tremor, it expanded in size, but the dramatic scene Terrance had been anticipating didn’t occur—the hole vanished almost as quickly as it had appeared.

Watching the Aether Foundation employees’ ever-changing expressions, Terrance fell into deep thought.

Soon, Terrance identified the nature of the portal. What he hadn’t expected was to encounter the rare Ultra Wormhole himself.

“We are the Aether Foundation. This area is very dangerous and has temporarily been designated as a restricted zone. We’ll notify the police soon. For now, please cooperate and leave,” At this moment, a young man dressed like a researcher, arrived before Terrance and said.

“Dangerous? Alright then,” Terrance replied.

Terrance took one last long look at the spot where the Ultra Wormhole had disappeared, shrugged, and quickly left.

After Terrance left, Wicke called over an employee and said, “Contact Faba. There are signs that the Ultra Wormhole is about to reappear.”

The employee nodded and replied, “Understood.”

“Leon, speed up the process of relocating the nearby Pokémon to a safe area.”

The employee named Leon nodded. “Got it.”

After assigning all the tasks, Wicke, the assistant branch chief of Aether Foundation’s Aether Paradise, showed a troubled expression.

Not long ago, the Aether Foundation had detected frequent appearances of Ultra Aura in this area, drawing serious attention within the Aether Paradise.

If it had just been a fleeting Ultra Wormhole, the Aether Foundation might have overlooked it—but the Ultra Aura here was simply too active.

After witnessing it firsthand, Wicke finally understood the reason for the frequent Ultra Aura fluctuations. “Why aren’t any Ultra Beasts coming out of the Ultra Wormhole?”

Given the potential dangers that Ultra Beasts possessed, many employees of the Aether Foundation were temporarily stationed in the area.

No one could say for certain whether the Ultra Wormhole would appear again. Until they had definite confirmation, Wicke and the rest of the Aether Foundation employees had been instructed to keep watch.

A strange man wearing green sunglasses led three others to the scene.

“What’s the situation?”

“There’s been no sign of any Ultra Beasts,” Wicke replied with a shake of her head.

“But in the meantime, we’ve already relocated the nearby Pokémon to safety. With the help of the local Totem Pokémon Kommo-o, everything went smoothly.”

“Hmph.” Faba, an officer of the Aether Foundation and head of the research division, snorted upon hearing that there were no Ultra Beasts.

Faba had brought along three Trainers recruited by the Aether Foundation, with the purpose of preparing to face any Ultra Beasts that might appear. The chances of an Ultra Wormhole showing up were slim and unpredictable. As a researcher, Faba was willing to risk putting himself in danger to arrive at the site of the incident immediately—clearly demonstrating his deep interest in these strange beasts.

The Aether Foundation employees remained stationed here, operating instruments to continuously scan for fluctuations in the Ultra Aura.

At first, the area remained calm. But within just a few hours, the Ultra Wormhole appeared again—yet once more, it vanished almost immediately after emerging. Not to mention Ultra Beasts, there wasn’t even a shadow of any life form to be seen.

However, after witnessing the Ultra Wormhole appear again, the Aether Foundation became even more determined to stay and continue their observations.

“This won’t do. If the Ultra Wormhole appears again, we have to investigate it up close,” Faba said, filled with frustration.

“Don’t act on your own; no one knows if there’s danger near the Ultra Wormhole,” Wicke interrupted.

Before the next appearance of the Ultra Wormhole, the atmosphere among the Aether Foundation employees was tense.

Based on their past one or two experiences with Ultra Beasts, it was clear that not all Ultra Beasts were peaceful creatures.

Their individual strength far exceeded the average level of Pokémon in this world.

On the fourth day of the Aether Foundation’s presence in Vast Poni Canyon, the Ultra Wormhole appeared for the third time.

This time, the Ultra Wormhole expanded and shook at an extremely fast rate. The sky looked as if it were covered in cracks, and to the shock of the Aether Foundation employees, a massive creature that looked like a white building with two white arms emerged.

The edges of the creature’s body were pale green. The moment it appeared—before the Aether Foundation members could even get a good look at it—its two arms sprayed out scorching gases, an extremely threatening move.

The waves of heat made it even harder to make out the creature’s appearance.

Faba’s face changed dramatically as he shouted, “It’s attacking! Quickly, block it!”

A Dragonite, a Salamence, and a Metagross swiftly flew out.

Dragonite and Salamence flapped their wings, each firing a beam of Ice Beam and a Hydro Pump from their mouths, aiming to freeze or extinguish the burning heat emitted by the giant creature.

Metagross focused its psychic power, attempting to restrict the creature’s movement—but judging by the expression on its face, controlling a target of such massive size was proving incredibly difficult.

Ice Beam and Hydro Pump struck the creature, and its body also became hindered by the psychic powers. The giant creature clearly paused—and in that instant, countless blades of wind descended from the sky.

“Is that Air Slash!?”

Faba adjusted his glasses and said, “We must capture this Ultra Beast.”

The Aether Foundation’s Trainers commanded Dragonite, Salamence, and Metagross to attack together, and countless Poké Balls continued to be thrown.

This mysterious beast that had suddenly emerged from the Ultra Wormhole was immediately surrounded and attacked by numerous Pokémon.
