Misty and May looked at Ash, and as expected, he was becoming more exceptional, always drawing the admiration of talented young women wherever he went. This only strengthened their resolve to work harder themselves!
However, Ash's thoughts were elsewhere. Although Elesa was a top model, she knew more than just Pokémon showcases. Ash thought he could collaborate with her on a big project to earn profits.
Since Misty and May were around, he didn't ask for her contact info directly. So, after leaving, he privately sought out Scott to explain his idea. Scott gave him a knowing look as if he understood everything, leaving Ash confused. "You understand? Understand what?" But he decided he'd need to find the right opportunity for his plan.
Leaving the Battle Dome, Ash and his friends arrived in a forest frequently struck by thunderstorms. Ash had a strange feeling – if he remembered correctly, this was where that Elekid was! Because of the frequent lightning, this forest often experienced powerful strikes! In the original story, Elekid had been struck by lightning, storing immense electric power, making it temperamental and aggressive toward the Pokémon in the forest.
"Whoa! There's a massive storm cloud ahead, Ash. Let's stop for lunch here," Misty suggested, pointing to the clouds over a large valley ahead.
Ash agreed, but as his Aura Sight now covered a range of five kilometers, he extended it over the forest to detect Elekid. Sure enough, many Pokémon had already been knocked out by Elekid's electricity. Forget lunch for now.
"Let's skip lunch and head into the forest. Something seems wrong there," Ash said, heading toward Elekid. Misty, May, and Brock, though puzzled, followed him without hesitation. Chapters first released on Nove1Fire.net
It wasn't long before they found several Pokémon lying unconscious, injured but not seriously. Elekid had done all this.
"Boom!" Another explosion sounded in the distance.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu leapt from Ash's shoulder and raced toward the sound, with Ash and the others close behind. Soon, they saw Elekid facing off with an Exeggutor, who was already heavily injured.
Pikachu dashed between Elekid and Exeggutor, instantly drawing Elekid's attention.
Elekid, filled with stored electricity, was enraged and immediately launched an attack! Its arms rotated rapidly, and a powerful electric current built up between the horns on its head – it was using Thunderbolt!
"Pikachu, use Quick Attack to dodge!"
"Pika!" Startled, Pikachu had never encountered such a powerful Elekid. Ash quickly used his Aura Vision to checked Elekid's stats.
[Moves]: Quick Attack, Thunder Shock, Shock Wave, Swift, Electro Ball, Light Screen, Thunder Punch, Discharge, Thunderbolt, Thunder…
Elekid was indeed strong, with its blue potential and impressive array of moves, even though it hadn't yet evolved.
"Pikachu, use Agility to confuse it!" Pikachu moved swiftly, throwing Elekid off. But its rage continued as it suddenly aimed a Thunderbolt at Ash and the others!
"Watch out, that's dangerous!" In a rush, Ash kicked Brock out of the way, then grabbed Misty and May, leaping back with surprising strength. Still holding both of them, he tightened his arms around their waists mid-air, ensuring they were safe as they landed. The powerful Thunderbolt struck a tree instead, charring it instantly.
Relieved, Misty and May realized how close they had been to getting hurt – if not for Ash... And then they noticed that his arms were still around their waists.
"Stay still," Ash said in a steady tone. "This Elekid is dangerously volatile, and I'd better keep you close in case it strikes again." Both girls blushed but didn't resist.
"Pika Pi?" Pikachu worriedly glanced back.
"We're fine, Pikachu. Now's your chance! Use Volt Tackle!" Pikachu charged Elekid, slamming into it and sending it flying. Pikachu took some damage from the recoil, but Elekid was also weakened.
"Good, now hit it with Iron Tail!" With the speed boost from Agility, Pikachu was faster, hitting Elekid mid-air with Iron Tail.
"Alright, Heal Ball, go!" Ash threw a Heal Ball to capture Elekid.
