Just a second before the attack was about to land, Dusknoir clenched his teeth, suppressing the urge to beat up Wobbuffet.

Turning quickly, it tried to dive into the spirit world again to escape.

However, Gardevoir anticipated Dusknoir's actions and used Teleport to send a ball of light directly at it, causing an explosion!

The light detonated, illuminating the entire Bell Tower as if it were daytime.

To clarify, one of the two balls of light was Moonblast, and the other was Flash. The ball that was teleported to Dusknoir was the Flash.

"Whew!!!" Dusknoir's single eye was overwhelmed by the intense brightness, rendering it temporarily blind.

In contrast, Chris's Pokémon standing behind Dusknoir were shielded by its massive frame and didn't even have to close their eyes.

Furthermore, Dusknoir's attempt to escape failed as it turned, exposing its back to the enemy Pokémon.

Immediately, it was met with a ferocious onslaught. Official source ıs 𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹·𝖿𝗂𝗋𝖾·𝗇𝖾𝗍

Tyranitar sank its massive jaws into Dusknoir's neck, while Garchomp lunged, delivering a powerful strike.

From the sides, Greninja wielded its dual Water Shuriken like blades, slicing cleanly through Dusknoir's back with precision.

Blaziken stepped in next, landing a blazing kick directly on Dusknoir's back.

Gardevoir finished the sequence by gracefully launching Moonblast.

Meanwhile, Wobbuffet stood to the side, clapping enthusiastically.

"Wobbuffet! (Awesome!)"

It desperately wanted to teach Wobbuffet a lesson, but it could only stew in frustration.

As the MVP of the battle, Wobbuffet basked in Chris's praise.

"Good fight, Wobbuffet!"

Even as the boss, Dusknoir couldn't withstand so many attacks exploiting its weaknesses.

When the flurry ended, Dusknoir collapsed.

[Defeated Dusknoir LV70. Blaziken gained 21,157 EXP.]

[The dissipated Ghost aura condensed into a Powerful Leftovers item (reward).]

[Tip: The Ghost aura on the seventh floor feels lighter. You can now proceed to the eighth floor!]

Chris tossed a Poké Ball and successfully captured the fallen Dusknoir.

Having already obtained seven Gym Badges—one of them from the Johto region—Chris was able to command Pokémon up to level 80.

This Dusknoir would become a vital part of his Ghost Pokémon team until Haunter fully evolved.

The captured Dusknoir struggled briefly before resigning itself to its fate.

Chris picked up the Poké Ball, examining its stats and attributes carefully.

Dusknoir (Ghost) (Boss)

Ability: Pressure (When using moves against a Pokémon with this ability, the target loses 1 additional PP per move used.)

Individual Values (IVs): Stamina: 25 Attack: 31 Special Attack: 24 Defense: 31 Special Defense: 31 Speed: 13

Shadow Punch, Gravity, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Identify, Shadow Sneak, Phantom Force, Confuse Ray, Night Shade, Will-O-Wisp, Payback, Mean Look, Curse, Shadow Ball, Hex, Destiny Bond, Future Sight.

Held Item: Ben Thunder Spell Tag.

Ben Thunder Spell Tag:

Increases the power of Ghost-type moves by 40%. Adds bonus damage of 50% to Ghost-type moves. Grants a 10% chance to paralyze the opponent.

Chris found it strange that Dusknoir did not have moves like Imprison or Ancient Power, which he thought might be standard. Haunter seemed to differ from Dusknoir in this regard, indicating something unique about Haunter's potential.

With its Attack, Defense, and Special Defense maxed at 31 IVs (3V), Dusknoir stood out as a powerful defensive tank, perfectly aligned with its species strengths.

Chris considered Dusknoir as a temporary team leader for his Ghost Pokémon until Haunter evolved. With a high level of 70, Dusknoir already matched or surpassed the strength of Gym Leaders' Pokémon, further boosted by its status as a boss.

Chris removed the Ben Thunder Spell Tag from Dusknoir, recognizing its value as a rare treasure item.

Ben Thunder Spell Tag (Secret Treasure Level):

Boosts Ghost-type moves by 40%. Adds bonus damage of 50% to Ghost-type moves. Grants a 10% chance to paralyze the opponent.

Chris planned to pass it on to Haunter, allowing it to digest the Spell Tag's energy, enhancing its combat capabilities.

Chris then turned his attention to the recently acquired Powerful Leftovers from defeating Dusknoir.

Restores 30% of the Pokémon's HP per turn.

Unlike normal Leftovers, which restore 6.25% (1/16) of stamina, and Secret Treasure Leftovers, which range between 10%-20%, this treasure-level item provides continuous recovery, equivalent to a Hyper Potion every turn.

Chris imagined the synergy between this item and Pokémon with naturally high HP stats. It could significantly outpace damage from weaker opponents, effectively turning the battle in favor of such a Pokémon.

He looked at Wobbuffet, whose base HP stat of 190 made it one of the tankiest Pokémon around, surpassing even sturdy Steel-types like Aggron and Steelix in terms of raw stamina.

Deciding Wobbuffet was the perfect candidate for the Powerful Leftovers, Chris handed it over.

"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet saluted gleefully, showing its readiness to shine even brighter in future battles.
