Undeterred, the Trainer threw another Pokeball, releasing an Elekid. "Use Thunder Shock!" he commanded, only for Froakie to counter with Bubble Beam. The attacks collided in mid-air with a loud bang, but Froakie was faster, darting through the smoke and landing another powerful Pound that downed Elekid with ease. 'Wow, that Trainer really underestimated it. You can't just rush in without a plan.'
Watching the Trainer retreat in defeat, Mark chuckled, explaining to John that this Froakie had become famous as the "pond bully," known for harassing Trainers but never seriously harming them. 'No way am I letting this opportunity slip.' "No need." John replied, getting up and tossing a Pokeball into the air, releasing his own Pokemon in a burst of light.
"Torchic!" The little fire-type flared with fierce energy, ready for a face-off.
