Pokemon: The Legacy of Dragons Chapter 128

Logan firmly gripped Sabrina's wrists and pinned her down onto the bed. The position between the two was intimate—breaths ragged and irregular—but there was no trace of lust or desire in the room.

"Why so quiet, Miss Sabrina? Don't tell me my confession actually moved you?"

Sabrina didn't dare move. She turned her head away, closing her beautiful eyes, as if still trying to calm the turbulence within her heart. Logan's direct assault on the softest part of her psyche had left her shaken and oddly helpless.

Her parents had, indeed, treated her well—showering her with affection and giving their all to raise her. But they were not psychics. Beyond material comforts and emotional support, they could never fill the deep void inside her.

Sabrina was someone who lacked faith, lacked will, and was emotionally hollow. Read full story at 𝗇𝗈𝗏𝖾𝗅•𝖿𝗂𝗋𝖾•𝗇𝖾𝗍

That was exactly why Giovanni had seen right through her. With his overwhelming charisma and his hauntingly persuasive words, he became the beacon she latched onto. Like a lost soul grasping at belief, she followed behind him.

Sabrina wasn't drawn to Team Rocket's ambitions, nor did she care for power or wealth. She simply followed the one person who gave her a purpose—a goal to pursue without hesitation.

Giovanni hadn't manipulated her. It was a mutual transaction—he provided direction, and she gave her strength in pursuit of it.

But now, that empty and fragile soul had been thoroughly and terrifyingly seen through by someone else. Logan had peeled back her mental armor and looked into the core of her. It was a power far more dangerous than simple mind-reading—it was understanding.

As Logan stared at her delicate face just inches away, he couldn't hold back the impulse. He lowered his head—and kissed her.

The sensation was like a snow lotus blooming—fragrant, but cold. Untouchable. Hauntingly beautiful.

This was different from their shared spiritual fusion—this was her real, physical first kiss in the real world. Sabrina didn't resist. Her movements were awkward, hesitant. No matter how much she might've experienced in the psychic plane, her body had no muscle memory for this. Nothing could be copied.

Logan didn't go any further. Not only because they were in enemy territory, but because he knew—if he tried to cross the line, Sabrina would absolutely resist. And their fragile alliance would shatter.

For now, the fact that she didn't resist at all was already beyond his expectations. Matters of the heart required patience. And even though he couldn't infiltrate her mind again during their earlier psychic exchange—he had sensed something.

Team Rocket had a plan. A big one. And it was coming soon.

To truly obtain her, Logan would have to crush Giovanni—destroy the very foundation of her beliefs. Only when her spiritual pillar collapsed completely would Sabrina become his entirely.

She was a psychic who had once been spiritually invaded. Her thoughts, her weaknesses—none of them could be hidden from him.

"Just lie here and rest for a while," Logan murmured softly, closing his eyes and holding her tightly in his arms, as though he had fallen asleep right there on the small bed.

Sabrina didn't respond. She simply lay still, like a fragile porcelain doll, not moving at all.

The next morning, Logan and Sabrina tidied themselves up and came downstairs—only to find Agatha had already prepared breakfast. They exchanged a glance and quietly took seats across from each other, eating without words.

Last night had slightly shortened the distance between their hearts. They were still enemies—this fact wouldn't change until everything was settled—but the coldness between them had eased.

Strangely, Sabrina found that in her suffocating emptiness, a faint shadow had crept in.

It startled her. But she couldn't say she hated it.

After all—she had never been someone who could refuse. Deep down, she was someone who longed.

"Young people should be ," Agatha chuckled. "No matter how serious the conflict, as long as it doesn't cross a line—don't let it linger overnight."

"I won't nag you anymore. The entrance to the 'Tower of Prayer' is on the north side. You'll see it as soon as you walk through the village."

Agatha smiled as if pleased by their shift in tone. After breakfast, she even saw them off at the door, standing there until they vanished from sight.

Once out of Agatha's view, both Logan and Sabrina let out a quiet breath.

"You recognized her, right?" Logan asked.

"Kanto Elite Four. Agatha," Sabrina answered coolly, her arms always folded, eyes closed like she wasn't interested in anything—but at least she responded now.

"She definitely recognized us too. And she knows that we know. So why the performance? She could've attacked us, or kept hiding. But instead… she openly helped us, even revealed her identity. It makes no sense. Why expose herself?"

Logan was confused. "That house of hers… it was too strange. I couldn't find anything wrong, and yet—it felt wrong. I even asked Mewtwo. He said it felt fake… but he couldn't tell why."

"Maybe she's just old and her brain doesn't work anymore," Sabrina muttered.

"Huh?!" Logan stared at her in disbelief. "Did… did you just make a joke?"

"Hmph." Sabrina ignored him and walked ahead quickly.

So… she's a bit tsundere after all?

In a village full of low buildings, all no more than three stories tall, the 'Tower of Prayer' stood out like a monument. It had seven levels, but each floor seemed to be at least twenty meters tall. The whole tower rose to over a hundred meters, occupying a massive amount of space.

Standing at its base, the sheer scale made one feel its solemn weight.

"With this diameter, it's like a seven-story colosseum. The builders must've had a lot of free time," Logan muttered. "...Probably filled with Agatha's traps too."

"Afraid?" Sabrina said with a mocking tone, striding confidently toward the entrance. The recent string of disappearances had left the tower deserted.

"What's there to be afraid of? As long as I'm with you, even hell itself is worth entering," Logan grinned as he caught up.

A ripple of psychic energy shimmered through the air as Sabrina synced her mind with Alakazam. The power surged—and the doors to the tower burst open.

With the sound of rusted metal groaning, the tower finally revealed its true form.
