Sato quickly finished cleaning up the battlefield. He didn't choose to linger there even for a moment. Instead, he immediately took Thomas and left the area, stopping to rest in a small forest about seven or eight kilometers away from the site of the battle.

Although Sato had achieved ultimate victory in that battle, more than half of his Pokémon had lost their ability to fight, and the remaining ones were severely injured—not fit to engage in combat again anytime soon.

Among them, Ursaring and Heracross, who had directly clashed with Mega Aggron, were in the worst condition. Many of the bones in their bodies had been broken, and their internal organs had suffered varying degrees of damage.

It was only because Pokémon had physical constitutions far beyond that of ordinary humans that they had survived. If it had been humans suffering the same injuries, they would've been long dead.

As expected, even with Bellossom's help, if Ursaring and Heracross didn't want to be left with long-term lingering damage, they would need extended rest to recover—at least three to four days of healing.

But it was all worth it. After this battle, the greatest threat Sato faced on the Mysterious Island was now eliminated. The rıghtful source is 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝※𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖※𝕟𝕖𝕥

To be honest, ever since Aoki had told him that Ranka had placed a bounty on him, Sato had been living in fear—he hadn't even dared to sleep soundly at night. Now, finally, he could rest easy.

At this point, Sato firmly believed that even if Ranka managed to survive and leave the island, he no longer had the power to rally his subordinates against him.

In Team Rocket, the weak have no right to command the strong. And even if a weakling held great wealth, they might not even get a chance to use it to hire help—because by then, the strong would've already turned the tables and devoured them whole.

Ranka had even abandoned his Zweilous and Aggron just to save his own life.

That's why Sato believed Ranka was a shrewd survivalist. Without enough strength, he would never proactively contact his subordinates—he would avoid them like the plague, afraid they'd discover how badly he had been weakened.

Of course, Sato didn't yet know that Ranka had already been squashed to death under the foot of the Elite-Four level Aggron leader. If he did, he would feel even more at ease.

Aside from eliminating Ranka as a major threat, Sato also reaped tremendous rewards from the battle.

The first prize, naturally, was the Mega Stone from Ranka's Aggron.

As soon as the battle ended, Sato immediately retrieved this rare Mega Stone from Aggron's corpse.

This was the first Mega Stone Sato had ever obtained, and its significance was self-evident.

Like Ranka, Sato also had a Key Stone. As long as he trained an Aggron properly and built a strong bond with it, he could gain the power of Mega Evolution too.

According to what he knew, there was a large Aron colony in Diamond Canyon. If he searched carefully, finding a high-potential Aron/Larion worth raising wouldn't be too difficult.

In short, the power of Mega Evolution was now within Sato's reach.

Of course, if Sato found that he didn't need this Aggronite, he could always trade it with other trainers in exchange for another Pokémon's Mega Stone. It would make for an excellent bargaining chip.

Between this Aggronite and other possibilities, Sato would actually prefer to get Swampert's Mega Stone, since Swampert was a core member of his Rain Team strategy and its Mega Evolution was essential.

The second reward was the abandoned Zweilous.

True to its reputation as a pseudo-legendary Dragon-type, Zweilous had a tough body—even though it had been severely injured by Bellossom's attacks and had suffered massive recoil from using Outrage, it had still clung to life.

There was no doubt that a living Dragon-type pseudo-legendary was far more valuable than a dead one. After some consideration, Sato decided to let Bellossom administer basic treatment to stabilize it—then he captured it using a black PokeBall.

From the list in his possession, Sato had already learned that this Zweilous had been raised by Ranka since it was small. Its loyalty to him was undoubtedly extremely high, which meant it was unlikely to ever serve Sato willingly.

Dragon-types were famously proud creatures. They wouldn't submit just because their life was threatened—especially not to an enemy. The relationship between Sato and Zweilous was clearly one of hostility.

It was easy to imagine that once its injuries healed, the first thing Zweilous would do would be to target the very person who had helped save it—Sato himself.

Still, Sato's first instinct was to try and fully subdue it. After all, this was a Dragon-type pseudo-legendary.

Though not raised by Sato personally, its physical development and mastery of numerous moves clearly showed how well Ranka had trained it.

Most importantly, this Zweilous was already Level 51—well into maturity. With just a bit more training to raise it to Level 64, it would evolve into the powerful Hydreigon.

So, if Sato could somehow get Zweilous to yield, he would instantly gain a Pokémon capable of becoming one of his aces. That kind of temptation was enormous, and even he couldn't resist.

Of course, Sato knew that the odds of a Dragon-type pseudo-legendary raised by someone else from childhood willingly obeying him were extremely slim.

If Zweilous still refused to cooperate by the time they left the island, Sato would give up on it and sell it on the black market instead.

Since Zweilous insisted on being his enemy, Sato wouldn't show any mercy—he'd wring every last drop of value out of it.

A high-level Dragon-type pseudo-legendary was worth a fortune, even if it was disobedient. If Sato could sell it successfully, the wealth he'd earn would be unimaginable.

All in all, Sato's takedown of Ranka had yielded an extremely generous haul. He'd acquired not only a precious Mega Stone, but also a Dragon-type pseudo-legendary worth a massive fortune.

"Shame I couldn't take him down in person. That drag queen must've had loads of good stuff hidden on him."

Sato leaned against Arcanine's side, gazing at the Aggronite in his left hand and the black PokeBall containing Zweilous in his right, unable to help but feel a little regret.

Meanwhile, as Sato and his team rested and recovered from battle, Vanna—dressed in her wild, savage outfit—was entering the territory of the large Aron colony with her newly recruited subordinates in tow.
