Pokemon: Who Let Him Leave Pallet Town!? Chapter 112

Chapter 112: Everyone Out, Don't Disturb Gary

"Where's my car?"

At the table, Gary held the wheel, completely confused.

Ash, Misty, and Brock seemed to have guessed something; they each turned their heads, trying to suppress their laughter.

"Uh, we'll meet at the dam tomorrow. Other Trainers will be there too," Walter said, sensing the awkward mood, wiped his forehead, and turned to leave.

...

Meanwhile, in the rest area, inside a maintenance room.

With so many vehicles around and Diglett causing trouble, flat tires and the like were common.

Walter had brought in some mechanics and set up two repair stations here.

This worked out conveniently for Natsume.

"Mr. Natsume, everything's disassembled, but it looks like a wheel is missing?" the lead mechanic reported, wiping his face with a sweat cloth.

"No problem, thank you for your work. Can I use the repair shop for one night?" Natsume offered payment.

"Of course, the boss is busy dealing with Digletts these days, so we're free," the mechanics replied.

After accepting the payment, they left, giving the space to Natsume.

Natsume pulled the earlier key from his pocket and pressed a button.

...

"Where's my car!?"

At the parking area, Gary held his head, shouting.

At his feet was only a lone wheel.

"Don't be upset, Gary," Ash said, keeping a straight face.

"Hey, are you trying to make fun of me?" Gary looked back.

"No. Absolutely not!" Ash continued to keep his serious expression.

Those slightly behind Ash shared the same expression.

"Damn car thief! I won't forgive you!"

Gary picked up the lone wheel, tears streaming down his face.

Suddenly, the wheel moved on its own, rolling across the ground.

It rolled so fast that sparks flew from the friction, nothing like the slow pace when he had summoned it himself.

"???" Gary froze for a moment, then realized what was happening and blurted out a name:

"Natsume!"

Seeing the wheel move away, Gary ran after it.

...

Soon, they arrived at a dark, oil-stained repair shop.

Gary stood outside, suspiciously watching the wheel roll inside.

"What's this?"

Approaching, he saw Natsume levitating in midair, glowing blue, with car parts scattered all around him.

"I knew it," Misty covered her face.

"His telekinesis seems to have improved again, controlling this many tools at once," Brock noted, looking at all the floating repair tools.

"Ah—my beloved!"

Gary clutched his head and cried.

Natsume opened his eyes at the noise.

*Beloved?*

After a moment, he realized Gary had named his car that.

"Natsume, what are you doing!" Gary shouted angrily.

"Free modification service," Natsume said seriously, nodding.

"Remember, Gary, when you used ten years' worth of allowance to ask me for modifications, I promised you a free service in future."

As he spoke, a small booklet floated into Gary's hands.

"Pfft, didn't you say Natsume begged you to modify it?" Ash finally burst out laughing.

Gary took the booklet.

Yes. Natsume had given him something like this before.

But wasn't that *Warranty Certificate* completely blank?

At the time, caught up in the excitement, Gary hadn't bothered to question Natsume about it.

Gary opened the booklet, and the more he looked, the stranger his expression became.

"Natsume, you mean… you're going to help me modify this car into a *Mecha Robot* for free?"

Gary froze for a moment, then asked,

"You mean one of those motorcycles from the *Pokémon Mobile Suit Gundam* that can transform?"

His tone grew excited.

"Yes," Natsume nodded seriously.

Entertainment in this world had developed quite deeply; many shows from his previous life had similar concepts, though usually starring Pokémon as the main characters.

After hearing the confirmation, Gary's face turned red, his breathing quickened, and he nearly fell over.

"Why are you still watching Mobile Suit Gundam? I've only watched Pokémon Battles since I was six," Ash's voice sounded quietly.

Realizing someone else was there, Gary's face turned red.

"It's called Pokémon Mobile Suit Gundam," he muttered, feeling like he was digging a hole for himself.

"You don't understand! You don't get it. Everyone out, get out, don't disturb Natsume!"

Blushing, Gary stammered as he shooed everyone outside.

"Go, Natsume, you can do it!" Gary popped his head back in to cheer, then disappeared outside.

Although whenever Natsume involved him, it was usually either hard work or trouble, Gary couldn't deny that he knew everything, like an encyclopedia.

Even if Natsume said he could make things from TV real, Gary was willing to believe it.

...

Natsume returned his focus to the scattered sports car parts.

He had just used telekinesis to do a rough inspection.

Since the car had already been converted to electric, Natsume could save a lot of effort.

He only needed to connect the circuits and implant the superchip as Rotom's main body.

"This chip must be able to take over all the original functions."

This had originally been the most troublesome part.

When Gary first requested modifications, he insisted on automation.

At that time, Natsume had implanted a simple secondhand chip, adjusting the size, and it worked.

Now, the hardest part was the transformation.

Although Natsume had already drawn rough schematics and practiced many times in his mind, the real-world operation was still difficult.

With his telekinesis fully activated, he hovered in midair, crouched and motionless, while tools and car parts swirled around, dazzling anyone watching.

By morning, Natsume was soaked in sweat.

In front of him stood a massive *humanoid robot*.

The car doors, meant for the chest armor, folded into a crooked pelvis, and the four tires spun at the shoulder joints.

The left arm had a jammed windshield wiper, while a leg popped out of the crotch. The body looked like a LEGO mecha assembled haphazardly by a child.

Natsume had modeled it after Johnny Storm (human torch) from his previous life.

But the technology wasn't fully mature; some of the circuitry and control commands confused him.

For example, the headlights somehow ended up on the back after transformation.

"And why did the exhaust pipe end up over the mouth?" Natsume scratched his head.

The Rotom embedded in the body was the one gifted by Giselle's father, Reginald.

Perhaps due to its low level or his circuit design, Rotom could only control the car robot for about thirty seconds before being expelled.

Since the attempt wasn't fully successful, the system only displayed normal Rotom information.

"Hm, still needs improvement. Definitely need a proper lab," Natsume said, shaking his head in disappointment.

If a Mecha had a design like this, it would definitely be labeled *bizarre*.

Now, seeing how the three members of Team Rocket could manipulate all kinds of mecha robots, he found it even more incredible.

"However, considering Rotom's level also has some influence…"
