A hairdryer was blaring in the bathroom.
Xie Huilan sat in front of the mirror with her legs crossed. She was swinging her slipper on her foot. Dong Xuebing was standing behind her, drying her hair.
“Haha…. My husband is good at drying my hair.”
“I’m not that good. I don’t understand why you like me to blow your hair.”
“That’s because you are better than me. Many hairstylists I met are not as good as you.”
“Impossible. They are professionals. At most, I am more serious than them.”
“Being serious is not enough for me to let you dry my hair. I feel relaxed and comfortable when you do it. I am falling asleep.

Dong Xuebing rolled his eyes. “Are you still angry about last night?”

“This is complicated.” Dong Xuebing replied. “Fine. I will dry your hair forever, and you cannot bring up what happened last night. That position will also be categorized as a conservative position. You cannot object to it in the future.”
“No. Are you thinking of shaming me again? I will remember it for life. That position will be forbidden.”
“Haha…. I might change my mind if you perform well in the future.”
“That means we have room for negotiation.” Dong Xuebing was satisfied with this reply. “Then, will you dry my hair in the future?”
Xie Huilan narrowed her eyes. “Do you bear watching me so tired?”
“You will not die from drying my hair.”
“Fine. I can do it once in a while, but not every day.”

Xie Huilan raised her brows and laughed. “I noticed you have a serious issue with your perception of me. Alright. To prove you are the head of our family, I will let you decide on my hairstyle and clothing today. I will wear what you want and let you decide everything about me today.”
“Do I look like I am joking?”
“Alright.” Dong Xuebing slapped the table. “Deal!”
Xie Huilan laughed. “Then how should I style my hair?”
Dong Xuebing walked around her and looked at her long hair.
Xie Huilan smiled and sat there.
“Pin your hair up.” Dong Xuebing still preferred women who pin their hair up. “You look smarter, and this style suits your face.”
“How should I pin it up?”
“Huh? How do I know? Just comb all your hair to the top of your head.”
After a while, Xie Huilan tied up her hair into a bun. “Is this what you want?”
Dong Xuebing snapped his finger. “Wow…. You are beautiful.”
They returned to the bedroom and opened the closet. The closet was filled with Xie Huilan’s clothes. Her mother had sent all her clothes over before the wedding. Most of her clothes were darker colors, suits, and pants. That’s not much choice.
Dong Xuebing grumbled. “Why didn’t you buy some nice clothes?”
Xie Huilan sat on the bed. “You should know my position. How can I wear flowery and bright clothing around? Also, why should I get so many clothes?”
“Sigh…. Let me find something.”
“Don’t rush and take your time. Haha….”
Dong Xuebing was determined to dress up Xie Huilan nicely. He searched the closet and found a few clothing items. She had bought a black hollow-out lacy bra and underwear. They were semi-translucent and very sexy. He also found a pair of black stockings with flower prints and a white silk dress.
Dong Xuebing smiled as he passed the clothing to Xie Huilan. “Alright. You will wear these today.”
Dong Xuebing thought Xie Huilan would be embarrassed. But she smiled and changed in front of him slowly.
It was Dong Xuebing who blushed instead. This shows how thick-skinned Xie Huilan was.
After changing, Xie Huilan looked at him and smiled. “How do I look?”
Dong Xuebing nodded. “Terrific.”
