The detectives were eating in the room beside them, but they did not think anything would happen. They were not worried for Wan Sizhao’s safety, and Li Taibo and Xu Dabing got to the room first.
Chairs were toppled over, and the table was pushed aside.
The room was empty, and the windows shattered. Li Taibo immediately got a bad feeling and turned pale. “Chief Wan!”
Xu Dabing also shouted. “Chief Wan!”
No one replied to them. There’s no way for someone to hide in the small room.
Li Taibo clenched his fits and exchanged looks with Xu Dabing before walking towards the window together.
People noticed Wan Sizhao’s body downstairs and started screaming.
Li Taibo and Xu Dabing looked down from the windows and saw Wan Sizhao lying in a pool of blood.
The detectives from the next room arrived.

“Who was screaming just now?”

Although Dong Xuebing had told Luo Haiting to wait in the bathroom for ten minutes, she rushed out after hearing the commotion. She heard Li Taibo when she reached Room 28.
