The weather was cooling but humid. The humidity made them feel sticky all over their body. Dong Xuebing and Xie Huilan were having coffee at the hotel’s lobby when Xie Hao and the rest returned from their shopping.
“Sis, Brother-in-law.”
“Haha…. We are back.”
“We are supposed to meet at the hotel at 2 pm. Look at the time now.”
“Ah, we are only ten minutes late. Here…. I want to show you my new watch and clothes.”
Xie Hao showed off his watch and patted his body. Xie Ran and Xie Jing had changed. Xie Jing was wearing new pants and carrying a new LV bag. Xie Ran had changed his shoes. Sun Kai was wearing the same clothes with a new cap. It should be bought with Dong Xuebing’s card.
Xie Huilan looked at them. “Not bad. Clothes make the man.”
Xie Hao announced proudly. “Of course. You should see how much I spent. Do I look good?”
Xie Jing smiled. “Sis, Brother-in-law, thanks for the gifts. I tried to control my spending… until I saw this bag.”
The few had spent almost half the amount on their bank cards.
Xie Huilan thought nothing about it. “We are here to have fun. Just buy whatever you want. It’s been a while since I brought you all out. Who had finished using your money? Get it from your Brother-in-law. Haha…. He lacks everything except money.”
Dong Xuebing gave Xie Huilan a stare. What do you mean by that?
“Alright. Keep your stuff in your rooms.” Xie Huilan said. “We will go out when you all are done.”
All of them boarded the Mercedes MPV and drove out of the hotel.
They had eaten a bit on the plane to save their stomach from the street food in Taiwan. They were hungry and tired after shopping for a few hours. Dong Xuebing drove them to a street full of street food, and they ate while walking. The food culture is different from Beijing. They like some food and dislike some.
After they reached the end of the street, they returned to the car.
Xie Hao was holding his tummy. “I am so full!”
Xie Ran laughed. “Who asked you to eat everything you see.” He mocked Xie Hao and burped.
“You dare to say that?!” Xie Hao laughed. “You all had eaten a lot too.”
“The food here tastes good.” Xie Jing rubbed her tummy. “It suits my taste. I don’t think I can eat dinner tonight.”
Xie Ran, Xie Jing, and Sun Kai insisted on paying for the food and refused to let Dong Xuebing pay. Street food is inexpensive, and Dong Xuebing did not fight with them for the bill.
Xie Huilan smiled. “Alright. Let’s plan where we are going next. We still have three days here. Any suggestions?”
Dong Xuebing added. “We are here to have fun. Don’t suggest going to shopping malls. We have shopping malls in Beijing too.”
Xie Hao raised his hand. “I suggest going to the seaside.”
“Seaside?” Xie Huilan nodded. “What do others think?”
Xie Jing smiled. “It’s a good idea. We can suntan or swim there.”
Xie Ran looked at Xie Huilan. “Sis, you are pregnant and cannot catch a cold.”
Xie Huilan smiled. “It’s fine. You all can go swimming. Xiao Bing will accompany me to the beach.”
Dong Xuebing announced. “Alright. Let’s go to the beach!”
Dong Xuebing nodded and thought for a second. “The seaside is quite far from here. It would be nighttime if we went there now. How about going there tomorrow?”
Xie Hao exclaimed. “Brother-in-law, you don’t know anything about the nightlife on the beach. Furthermore, we can stay at the hotels there. Imagine opening the windows and looking at the sea. It will feel much better than staying here. You can also see girls in their swimsuits.”
Xie Jing teased Xie Hao. “No wonder you are so eager to go to the beach. You just want to look at pretty girls in swimsuits.”
Xie Hao laughed. “Hehe…. What do you all think of my suggestion?”
Xie Huilan said. “We can spend one night at the hotels by the beach, but we did not make any reservations. We might not get any rooms.”
This was a problem. Madam Han had booked three suites for them before their departure. She had wanted to book a presidential suite, but it was unavailable. It is the holiday peak season, and getting rooms is not easy.
Xie Hao was disappointed. “Then what should we do?”
Dong Xuebing thought for a while and said. “I will call Old Wu. He is doing aquatic business and should know people by the beach.”
“Ok.” Xie Huilan replied.
“Let me ask him first.” Dong Xuebing took out his phone and called.
Ring… ring… ring…. “Hello, Xiao Dong?”
Dong Xuebing laughed. “Uncle Wu, where are you now?”
“I returned home after we landed. What is it? Do you need help?”
“Oh, we are planning to go to the beach. I know it’s the holiday season, and we might not get any rooms. That’s why I thought of asking you.”

“This is our first time here. Do you have any recommendations?”
“How about coming over to my place? My house and company are next to the sea. It is about two hours drive from the airport. You should be in time for dinner at my place if you all leave now. Don’t worry about lodging. I will settle it for you all.”
“Will we trouble you?”
“Of course not. Hahaha…. I welcome you all to visit me.”
“Alright. Thanks, Uncle Wu.”
“Don’t mention it. I have nothing to do at home anyway. I will send you my address, and you can enter it into the GPS. It’s easy to find your way here.”
“Sure. See you later.”

Friends are essential when you are outside.
Dong Xuebing told the rest after hanging up.
Xie Hao raised his arms and cheered. “The vast sea! Here I come!”
Xie Huilan laughed. “Vast sea? I thought you were looking forward to the girls there?”
