Upon hearing George’s words, Qiao Jing suddenly thought of something and changed the subject, "Has your sister been moved?"
George nodded, "She has been moved. Frank’s people had been secretly watching me, and I couldn’t make a move. It was only after Mr. John began to let down his guard these past two days, and Frank withdrew the people monitoring me, that I found the opportunity."
"I have arranged for my sister to stay in a rather secluded place. They shouldn’t be able to find her anytime soon."
As long as his sister wasn’t in Mr. John’s hands, he had nothing to be concerned about!
"That’s good." Qiao Jing also breathed a sigh of relief.
If because of her, innocent people were implicated, she would feel troubled.
After pausing for a moment, Qiao Jing put down her chopsticks and bowl and pursed her red lips, "Speaking of which, how is the matter I entrusted to you progressing?"
The fact that John and Frank had been putting abortion drugs in her food made her realize more than ever that she couldn’t stay in this place any longer.
So, she had been planning her third escape attempt these past few days.
The first two escape attempts had made John and Frank very cautious of her. She couldn’t move around the island freely, so she had to ask George to secretly learn about the island’s terrain and layout to see if an opportunity to escape might present itself.
"Master, actually, I came over just to talk about this matter," George said.
As he spoke, George took out a square-folded piece of paper from his pocket.
Once the paper was unfolded, it showed several interweaving lines with some areas marked with text—a clear, if rudimentary, topographic map.
"I have figured out the island’s topography. I drew this by hand, and it’s quite rough, but I marked down some key routes and locations."
Pointing at a spot on the paper labeled "harbor," George said excitedly, "This discovery was unexpected, but it’s our biggest find."
This place was very hidden; he had been on the island for so long and never noticed it, nor had he heard anyone mention it.
He had found it by sheer luck yesterday when he accidentally took a wrong turn.
Qiao Jing quickly scanned the map, finally focusing on the spot George was pointing at, "So, what you’re saying is, this harbor is our breakthrough to leave the island?"
"Exactly," George nodded repeatedly.
Qiao Jing pursed her lips contemplatively, speculating, "If that’s the case, then there must be quite a few people guarding this place, right?"
"Since there are small cruise ships docked at the harbor, it is indeed heavily guarded."
While speaking, George thought back carefully, "From what I’ve observed, there are at least twenty or so people guarding it."
Though a breakthrough had been luckily discovered, figuring out how to deal with these guards was the crucial issue!
With that in mind, George sighed, looking somewhat disheartened, "Master, do you have any ideas?"
If it were up to him, he couldn’t come up with any good ideas.
Indeed, for such brain-racking matters, they still had to rely on his master’s ingenious calculations!
Qiao Jing hardly needed to think before she casually said, "There is a way, and it’s quite simple, but we need to find the right moment."
"What way?" George’s eyes lit up, eagerly asking for more details.
"It’s not convenient for me to move around, so I’ll have to bother you one more time..."
Before Qiao Jing could finish, George interrupted her.
He waved his hand and said earnestly, "It’s no bother, not at all. I’m more than happy to be of help to you, Master!"
Qiao Jing smiled helplessly, "Just listen to me. In a moment, I’ll give you a packet of anesthetic spray. Find an opportunity to pour it into the food or drinking water of those guards to knock them out, then I’ll make my escape."
"Alright, I’ve got it."
George nodded gravely, but then, something occurred to him, "Master, where did you get this anesthetic spray from?"
"I have my ways," Qiao Jing replied.
After saying this, she suddenly stood up and walked over to the lab bench.
Looking puzzled, George got up and followed her.
He then saw Qiao Jing casually concoct a packet of powder using some of the available plants and laboratory materials.
The whole process took less than ten minutes!
Qiao Jing packed the powder and handed it to George, "Here you go, hold onto this. Don’t lose it."
George, utterly astonished, took the powder and turned it over in his hands several times, "Master, this powder wouldn’t happen to be the anesthetic spray you just mentioned, would it?"
