Taishang spoke leisurely, "Tongtian, if one can forgive, one should."
"Eldest Brother, when have you ever spared me?" Tongtian’s figure flashed and likewise disappeared without a trace.
Within the palace of the Western Spiritual Mountain, Universal Virtue Bodhisattva, Ci Hang Bodhisattva, Ju Liusun Buddha, and Manjusri Bodhisattva bowed respectfully in unison and reverently chanted, "Praise to Randeng Buddha~"
The other thousands of Buddha Bodhisattvas also placed their palms together, bowed their heads, and proclaimed, "Praise to Randeng Buddha!" Their mighty voices echoed between Heaven and Earth.
Mile, Mahasthamaprapta, Pharmacist, Lu Ya, and others changed their expressions several times, also bringing their hands together and bowing their heads.
Randeng Buddha smiled and nodded, his mighty voice resounded, "The Calamity has passed, the Primordial World is at peace, my Buddhist Disciples should now descend the mountain to widely ferry beings, proclaiming our Western Great Dao."
Most of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas within the great hall respectfully responded, "We honor the Dharma Decree!"
Ksitigarbha brought his palms together and said, "Buddha, I still need to oversee the Underworld, to ferry the fierce souls and ill spirits. I am unable to spread the teachings, thus I take my leave."
A black hole formed behind him, through which one could see towering black mountains and howling somber winds, a vision of Hell.
Ksitigarbha, seated on his lotus platform, drifted backward, his figure entering the black hole and disappearing.
Mile spoke loudly without any reservations, "During the Sealing God Battle, I traveled between life and death for Buddhism, enduring suffering and agony. One unforeseen moment led me to fall into the Nine Curves Yellow River Formation, stripping me of my Top Three Flowers and dissipating my Five Breasts; now I must undergo a cycle of rebirth and re-cultivation, unable to go forth and spread teachings, I beseech Buddha’s forgiveness."
Mahasthamaprapta, Pharmacist, Lu Ya, and others also placed their palms together and said, "It is the same for us!"
They sat upright on their lotus platforms, directly gazing at Randeng Buddha.
Without changing his expression, Randeng Buddha’s mighty voice arose again, "You have all established great contributions for our Buddhism, there is no need for you to spread the teachings; go and cultivate on your own!"
"Many thanks to Buddha!" Mile and the others disappeared amidst a burst of Buddha Light.
Afterward, the numerous Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the great hall also dispersed, leaving only Ci Hang, Manjusri Samantabhadra, and Ju Liusun among others.
Manjusri frowned and said, "Buddha, it seems Mile, Mahasthamaprapta, Ksitigarbha, and others hold much dissatisfaction towards you."
Universal Virtue Bodhisattva said, "Buddha, why must you yield?"
Randeng Buddha’s mighty voice filled the great hall, "As Buddha, I should lead all Buddhas. The future is long; there is no need to fight over the present."
Ci Hang and the others all nodded their heads.
On the other side, Guang Chengzi and other Chan Sect members were also brimming with indignant rage. Randeng, along with Ci Hang and others betraying the Chan Sect, could be said to have thoroughly tarnished the reputation of Chan Sect disciples.
Randeng and other Chan Sect disciples converting to Buddhism immediately caused an undercurrent of turbulence in the Primordial World. This was the first and only time a Saint Disciple had betrayed their sect, the impact on the reputation of the Chan Sect was tremendous, and many were watching the mockery directed at the Primordial Venerable.
In Yu Yu Heaven, Tongtian stood atop a high peak, facing the sweeping winds.
A Bai He bird wove through the sea of clouds, diving down and landing on the peak, transforming into Bai Jin’s figure, who bowed and said, "Disciple pays respects to Master!"
"Rise," was the response.
Bai Jin stood up and said, "Master, you have summoned your disciple to return; may I ask what your instructions are?"
Tongtian, with hands clasped behind his back, said, "Chan Sect’s Randeng, Ci Hang, Manjusri, Universal Virtue, Ju Liusun have deserted the sect, are you aware?"
"The newly established Buddha of Buddhism has a mighty following; your disciple is aware."
Bai Jin quietly glanced at the Tongtian Sect Master, his hair immaculate, his eyebrows sharp and eyes sparkling; he was angry! According to what she had learned over the years, her Master would only pay attention to his own appearance and dress up to kill when he was angry.
Bai Jin immediately bowed respectfully and said solemnly, "Betraying the sect is an unforgivable crime! Your disciple thinks they should be executed by the sword."
"Uh~ Master, they are all hiding within Buddhism and won’t come out, your disciple is temporarily helpless!"
Tongtian looked at the distant clouds breaking apart, a touch of melancholy in his eyes, "Sigh~ When I was your age, I already had few rivals in the Three Realms."
Bai Jin had no words in reply. You’re really something else! She could only dryly say, "Your disciple has embarrassed you."
Tongtian waved his hand and said, "You go first! If there is a chance in the future, kill them all."
Bai Jin hesitated then said, "Master, it’s Kong Xuan’s junior brother’s grand wedding, shouldn’t we show some gesture?"
Tongtian Sect Master glanced at Bai Jin and said, "I am aware of it, you go!"
"Yes!" Bai Jin respectfully responded, bowed deeply, and turned into a white rainbow piercing the sun.
Bai Jin left Yu Yu Heaven and went straight to Qingwei Heaven.
Within Qingwei Heaven, mountains and rivers stretched endlessly, a majestic mountain stood at the center of the world, upon which was situated the Saint Palace Yuxu Palace, surrounded by auspicious cloud and shining halos.
At this moment, in front of the Yuxu Palace, several figures were kneeling, Guang Chengzi, Chi Jingzi, True Man Yuding, Master Huang Long, and others.
A white rainbow descended from the sky, and as it landed in front of Yuxu Palace, it took shape into a figure who bowed and said, "Your disciple Bai Jin begs to see Master!"
Guang Chengzi and the others all looked up to Bai Jin, their expressions inexplicably complex. He actually came? Is he here to laugh at our Chan Sect?
Guang Chengzi stood up, speaking indifferently, "Disciple Bai Jin, please return. The Master is in a closed-door meditation and is not receiving guests!"
Bai Jin respectfully said, "Master, I have just come from Yu Yu Heaven, the Master has commanded me to take care of a very important matter regarding the Chan Sect."
The grand doors of the Yuxu Palace opened with a thunderous rumble.
Bai Jin stood up, walked into the Yuxu Palace, and as soon as he stepped into the hall, he couldn’t help but shiver from the bone-chilling cold inside.
Guang Chengzi and the others kneeled outside, all in shock. The Master had actually let him in, who is really your disciple?!
Bai Jin walked into the Yuxu Palace and bowed respectfully, "Your disciple pays respects to Master!"
The vast voice of the Primordial Venerable sounded, "Rise!"
Bai Jin got up and sat on a meditation cushion.
The Primordial Venerable asked, "What has Tongtian sent you to do?"
"Replying to Master: My Master has said that where the sun and moon shine, where the rivers reach, loyalty and righteousness are the foundation. He commands me to go and kill the disloyal and the treacherous, including Ci Hang."
The gaze of the Primordial Venerable flickered slightly and he said, "Did he really say that?"
Bai Jin spoke softly, "Master, my Master still cares for you very much. If it weren’t for the Taoist Ancestor forbidding him to step into the Primordial World, the Master might have personally gone to the Western Buddhism."
The expression of the Primordial Venerable was moved, barely able to control a hint of a smile as the icy chill in the hall quickly dissipated.
The Primordial Venerable snorted, speaking irritably, "He can’t even sort out his own affairs, yet he thinks of making plans for me?!
Bai Jin, heed your Master’s words, there’s no need to go to Buddhism. Let Ci Hang and others go. A good gathering and a good parting, that’s enough to fulfill the mentor-disciple bond."
"Yes!" Bai Jin responded respectfully, raising both hands as orbs of light emerged around him, floating within were the Xuanhuang Measuring Sky Ruler, Suet Jade Flask, Dragon Escape Pillar, and Wu Gou Sword, four Magical Treasures.
