Who knew that after hearing this, Glades Horne let out a faint smile and said, "It turns out I’ve come across someone’s cousin."
"Whose cousin?" Julia Bluen suddenly became curious.
She did not recall that any of Glades Horne’s close friends were from Dumbledore.
Glades Horne smiled mysteriously.
Julia Bluen’s impression of Hansen Ruiz was not deep. Now, as she frantically searched her memory, only a vague image of a gentle smile flashed by. But she knew that Hansen Ruiz was extremely capable, always able to handle the tasks Glades Horne entrusted to him. He exuded an elegant aura, seemingly from an excellent family background, and enjoyed Glades Horne’s deepest trust; he was no ordinary person. Could Hansen Ruiz have another identity?
"My CEO Assistant is none other than him. Julia, let’s not talk about this now; rest a bit. After we have eaten, we’ll go out for a walk. Remember, we’re only here for a week, so make the most of it." Glades Horne didn’t delve deeper. After all, he knew Hansen Ruiz’s real identity; the man had a background just as powerful as his own but willingly served as his Assistant, and he trusted him deeply.

Taking her hand, Glades Horne, pulling a suitcase in the other, walked side by side with her into the Lancaster Hotel, embarking on their honeymoon journey.
The room Glades Horne and Julia Bluen had booked was on the second floor of the hotel. Coincidentally, Mason Wallace and his wife were also on the second floor.
Back in their room, they arranged their luggage and had their meal. Only ten minutes later, there was a knock at their door. Thinking it was hotel service, Julia Bluen went to open it, only to find Mason Wallace and his wife standing there. Seeing Julia open the door, Mason Wallace greeted her with a modest smile, "Mrs. Horne, I hope we’re not disturbing you."
When Julia Bluen first heard Mason Wallace call her Mrs. Horne, she was slightly stunned. Then, realizing he was referring to her, she smiled and responded, "No problem, please come in," making way for the Wallaces to enter.
As soon as Glades Horne heard the knock, he went to the small bar inside the room to mix drinks. They were staying in a luxurious suite that had everything one could need. Seeing Mason Wallace and his wife enter, he glanced at them without much surprise, knowing they would surely come to ask about Hansen Ruiz’s recent situation. He was mixing the drinks especially for them.
"It’s rare to see young master Horne making drinks," Mason Wallace said as he approached the small bar, resting his hands on it and smiling at Glades.
It seemed unexpected for Glades Horne to be skilled at this. In everyone’s eyes, Glades Horne was the CEO of Valence Group. Though his work seemed a bit "leisurely," and he was always elusive, most people thought signing documents was his forte, not that he was omnipotent.
"My Julia can only drink sweet wines, so of course I had to learn how to prepare them," Glades Horne replied, his tone neutral, but his deep gaze subtly fell on Julia Bluen. As newlyweds, they naturally exuded an air of intimate affection, with eyes only for each other. Such behavior was normal to Mason Wallace; he smiled nonchalantly, acknowledging it as something he too would learn for his own wife.
Love, after all, is about mutual giving so that both can reap the rewards.
"Glades," Julia Bluen called out shyly, her cheeks reddening, her heart filled with sweetness. Indeed, she was suited only for red wine; anything else would get her drunk after just a few sips. Among the Upper Class Society, she was probably the least adept at holding her liquor.
That was why she never liked attending Wine Parties held by the Upper Class Society, afraid of getting drunk and making a fool of herself.
"Go ahead, what do you want to ask?" Glades Horne glanced at Mason Wallace, his gaze so piercing it seemed it could dissect Mason Wallace’s thoughts. Mason Wallace shuddered slightly under that sharp look and then laughed heartily. "It must be hard for him, working under you for so many years, putting aside his own empire, almost working my uncle to death."
If it were him, he definitely wouldn’t dare work under Glades Horne. If he messed up or did something that didn’t satisfy Glades Horne, just a glare from him would make him feel like he had fallen into an ice cellar, chilled to the bone.
"Actually, there’s not much to ask; we still keep in touch privately." Mason Wallace reached out, picked up a glass of red wine from in front of Glades Horne, and was about to drink it when a large hand suddenly snatched it away. Glades Horne had grabbed the wine. Mason Wallace stared in disbelief. Was the young master of the Horne family so petty as to deny him even a glass of red wine?
"This is what I made for Julia to drink," Glades Horne declared without embarrassment, openly showing his favoritism towards his wife. After all, they were on vacation, he had no official duties, and the most important thing was to pamper his wife.
"You should at least give me one glass. I am a guest, after all," Mason Wallace said with a laugh, clearly intent on challenging him, determined to taste a drink personally prepared by the young master himself.
Glades Horne immediately grabbed a wine glass, filled it to the brim with XO, and slid it over to Mason Wallace, glancing at him briefly.
"Has my older cousin had any good news recently?" Mason Wallace sipped the XO, both elegantly and boldly, his gaze fixed on Glades Horne. Hansen Ruiz was his aunt’s eldest son, a few years older than him, thirty-five this year, and still unmarried. His aunt and uncle were almost worried sick over Hansen Ruiz’s situation.
Those who knew Hansen Ruiz’s identity were baffled as to why he, the top heir to an empire as massive as the Valence Group, would leave his own business kingdom and go to T City to serve as CEO Assistant for the Valence Group. Was being a CEO Assistant better than being a CEO? Although Hansen Ruiz was soft-spoken and seemed approachable, in reality, he was an extremely resolute person; no one could change the decisions he made. For many years, he had worked under Glades Horne as the CEO Assistant of the Valence Group.
