While Leon indulged himself in fun, he left behind a shit load of tension for others.
In a room, a somber atmosphere prevailed that was broken by occasional sobs of women crying grievously.
"Believe me, honey, all I did was for his own good. I never meant any harm but who knew an assassin would attack him."
"Who knows what enemy he has offended now? I have repeatedly warned him to lay low but that boy…"The woman sobbing loudly, rolled her eyes, staring at the man-hardened expression.
She was Evelyn, Leon's stepmother, and the one she was snitching to was her husband Lex, and Leon's father.
If Leon heard this he would have clapped his hands and said that the great award for snitching bitch and drama goes to you.
Lex had dark obsidian hair but compared to Leon, he lacked delicateness and a natural charm which Leon inherited from his mother.
Lex, clenched his fist wondering what the hell was going on.
'That damn bastard. Just what the hell happened to him? If you want to die just die quietly instead of bringing trouble.'
Does he hate Leon?
Absolutely, he hates him for being incompetent and trash. As for his daughter, they decided to stay with their mother instead of coming with him.
If only his son was a bit talented, he could have walked around proudly but that useless prick just brought him endless trouble and ridicule.
He didn't even want to take Leon but he was forced to take him. Coming here, he married Evelyn solely because her daughter was blessed with a great physique and also managed to catch the sight of Seph Greymore and get engaged.
This brought him immense connections and profit as Greymore was one of the biggest influential families. Rich and strong, having their own private army.
But his stupid son was creating trouble for him. Fortunately, Evelyn came up with a solution to poison him that slowed down his body activity making him stay depressed and cooped.
But everything went haywire...
He wasn't worried about Leon's situation, rather he was afraid of Irina's wrath, who had been keeping an eye out for Leon recently.
By now she would have already known about his disappearance.
Lex massaged his forehead.
'Just when things were going alright. Endless trouble comes looking for me.'
"Stop crying now. I said it would be good to keep a practitioner near him but you denied it.''
Evelyn stopped her cries immediately and pouted.
'If someone was guarding him, my plans to harm him would be foiled.'
"We need to keep it under wraps."Lex glared at Evelyn.
"Hide it until the engagement ceremony."
Evelyn understood Lex's meaning, smiled faintly, and ridiculed Leon.
'You dare to smear my reputation. Even if you aren't dead, you should die instead of coming here.'
"Let's come up with a troublesome situation. Why don't we frame him with something and say that he had run away? Even if it turned out to be false, there would be no effect on us. After all, our primary aim is to avert Irina's eyes until the engagement."
"That's a bit too much," Lex answered with a slight hesitation.
"If they manage to trace things back to us, Irina is not gonna leave us. We should avoid doing something drastic and pin the blame on someone else. As for people who offended him, there are many."
Evelyn gnashed her teeth at Lex's refute.
'I can't let this slide off easily. I will hire someone to look for that guy and make sure he remains hidden.'

Meanwhile, Seph resting his chin on his arms tapped his thigh with a stern look.
'Did Ley die? Or did he kill Leon and run away?'Seph asked in his head while scratching his right arm.
For some odd reason, it was itching with a burning sensation but he didn't find any anomaly.
"System, can't you really see through his stats?"
[I can't see anything about him, host. It's either because he is too ordinary or an anomaly.]
"Is he alive?"
[Even if the host spent points for the answer, I can't trace anything about him.]
Seph rose from his seat with a serious expression.
"Did he have some kind of great power protecting him? I remember I could see his stat before the holidays so what happened now?"
[I haven't felt any power coming from him. He is neither a protagonist. He was just a side villain character who lost its importance after you snatched Ella away from him. His spirits were already broken so he is an unworthy guy for the system to look at.]
Seph raised his brows giving his system a weird look.
'Why are you sounding so arrogant?'
'Whatever! As long as I am stronger than him there is no need to worry.'
Seph shook his head and contemplated his plans. Today, he took another step forward by making Alice fall for him.
According to his memories, Lin Fang lying low already started the attack. First, he took Ella under Leon's eyes and beat him to the point of almost killing him.
Lex's father was displeased both with Leon for being useless and her daughter for choosing Lin Fang and sent people to kill him but Su Lin protected him.
Seph conflict came across when he tried to hit off with Campus Belle Wang Mei who transferred from the military academy. She rarely appeared in the Academy but when she started attending regularly, Lin Fang was head over heels for her.
Seph and Lin Fang exchanged a brief fight after which both of them found out about their deadly enmity.
Greymore family was responsible for wiping out Lin Fang's family while Seph's father died while taking them down.
With the support of others, Lin Fang finally suppressed Seph and wiped out the Greymore.
"It wouldn't go like that Lin Fang. I have already started stealing your things, however, don't worry, I have left some trinkets so that you can grow and become my nourishment."
While Seph smiled gruelly, his butler Jason requested to come in.
"What happened Jason?"
"Young Master, I found out about Ley."
"Where is he?"
"Dead!"
Seph looked at Jason nonchalantly, who praised his Young Master's composed state but inwardly Seph expression stiffened.
"How? Got killed by Leon."
"No, it seems Leon had gambled and won a sum in Maple Street. Ley finding out entered the underground boxing ring. He fought against a match of 50 in the series to win a grand prize of 100 million alas he got killed at the 13th match."
Seph intertwined his fingers giving a serious look while cursing inwardly.
'I can't believe that the Shadow assassin of the future is gone just like that. I knew that he was greedy but I thought he would believe in me when I said I would cure her sister. Some idiots will be idiots till the end.'
"Just a minor loss. Just hide this from his Minami. I will just find a scapegoat.''
'As for Maple Street, it seems I need to meet the Queen. Once I became Martial King, I would take her down with one sweep.'
Seph folding his legs tapped on the armrest thinking about Minami. That girl is cute but a lethal weapon once used.
'Now which protagonist should I make a scapegoat?'
Just as Seph emerged himself into deep thought, a warning beep rang in his head.

"What? So early…"
[Host, it seems the plot changed quickly due to you making a move on Alice.]
Just as he was about to ask another thing, another siren rang scaring the shit out of him…
