"I told you, he’s not a good match for Huang Yue. They think that I didn’t know and still tried to hide it. This really upsets me."

"I’m not intervening, I’m only giving him advice. It’s his own problem if he doesn’t listen to me!"
"I know what you’re worried about, but Mian, you must know that some people won’t listen if you tell them to be careful. He’ll only learn and grow once he’s made the mistake himself," Qin Chu explained caringly.
"That may be the case, but Zhixin is my little brother. I’ll be worried nonetheless when I think of how he might get hurt in the future."

Upon hearing what Qin Chu said, Huo Mian also felt that she might have been too sensitive when it came to Zhixin. He was now old enough and had the right to be in love, or to choose whom to be in love with, but... she still felt hints of anxiety, as if Zhixin and Huang Yue shouldn’t belong together.
After they left the old house, the two drove to a farm courtyard on the outskirts of C City, a location scouted out by Gao Ran.
He said that their troops often gathered there for hangouts. One could fish and eat there, and the scenery was very beautiful.
When they got there, they found that Zhu Lingling and Gao Ran had both already arrived and were fishing.
Of course, they still remembered to fight even though they were just fishing...

Huo Mian and Qin Chu heard those two cute kids fighting from far away, and Huo Mian suddenly lightened up.

"Why didn’t you call ahead of time before you arrived? Come, let’s go eat, I’m not fishing anymore." Gao Ran left the fishing rod and immediately pulled Qin Chu into the courtyard.
Zhu Lingling also stood up. "Why did you guys arrive just now? I’m hungry."
"We both ate at my mother’s."
"Your mother’s home? You went back?" Zhu Lingling confusingly stared at Huo Mian.
"Yes."
"Then your mom... didn’t?"
"What?"
"Didn’t chase Qin Chu out right?" Zhu Lingling thought that Huo Mian’s mother was absolutely terrifying when she was pissed, and was ten times scarier than her own mom.
"She didn’t. She looked quite upset though, but she wasn’t angry enough to chase us out." Huo Mian smiled.
"Then not bad, there’s still hope." Lingling patted Huo Mian’s shoulders, and the two also headed inside.
Zhu Lingling took out a bottle of perfume from her purse and handed it to Huo Mian. "Here’s your birthday present."
"Didn’t you already send me red packets?"
"That’s only the appetizer, I bet you’ll love this."
