"Why are you looking for me?"
Looking at the beaming face in front of her, Lily Turner wished she could slap that smiling face, but the presence of journalists around made her restrain her impulse.
Jenny York saw the hatred Lily Turner held for her in her heart, yet she didn’t care at all, keeping her bright smile, "Henry and I are preparing to get married, and both of us hope to have your blessing."
"Lily! You and Jeanne go into the car to talk." Freya Yeager gave Lily Turner a look, signaling her to get in the car with Jenny York. She then turned to the journalists waiting to capture the exciting moment, "Dear journalist friends! This is a private matter between Lily and her friend. Let’s not join in the fun."
The journalists had been waiting here for so long, just for the chance to get juicy news, and now that such a rare opportunity had finally come, they wouldn’t give up so easily.
All the journalists treated Freya Yeager’s words as the wind, seeing her as air, and remained standing still, their equipment still pointed at Lily Turner and Jenny York.
Lily Turner knew Freya Yeager was doing it for her own good. She glanced at the journalists standing motionless, turned her gaze again to Jenny York in front of her, "I’ve received the message you brought, and if there’s nothing else, please go back. I have an important scene to shoot later."
After speaking, she immediately turned and got into the car. She was in a foul mood and was on the verge of emotional collapse.
"Lily! I still have more to say to you." Jenny York followed Lily Turner into the car without hesitation.
Seeing the two getting into the car, Freya Yeager quietly breathed a sigh of relief, quickly reached out to close the car door, completely sealing the space inside from the outside.
The car windows were very dark, preventing anyone outside from seeing what was happening inside.
Though unable to see the condition inside the car, the journalists persistently stayed put, hoping to catch some information by ear.
Seeing this situation, Freya Yeager worried about what the journalists might capture and signaled the staff to clear the area.
The director also noticed the situation that had just happened. Not wanting any incidents, he ordered the staff to disperse the journalists.
After a few minutes, the journalists were politely ushered back to their previous spot by the staff, helplessly waiting from a distance.
Once the journalists walked away, Helena also got out of the car, leaving with Freya Yeager, giving the space inside the car back to the once close friends.
"Why did you really come to find me today?"
With irrelevant people gone, Lily Turner had no more worries and asked coldly.
Jenny York came to the set today impulsively, after being strongly threatened and warned by Luke Crowe. Unable to bear it, she came here to vent her anger on Lily Turner.
"Didn’t I just say under the car, I came here to tell you about Henry’s and my marriage." Jenny York stared at Lily Turner without blinking, not missing any changes in her expression. Seeing Lily Turner’s face grow a bit unpleasant, she continued, "Both Henry and I want your blessing. Oh! And for our unborn child as well."
As she spoke, she touched her stomach with her right hand, her face full of a joyful, blissful smile, but her eyes flashed with challenge and mockery.
