Theodore had already hidden the phone in advance. When Amelia Linton asked for the phone again, she realized that her phone was no longer in his hand.
"Where did you put my phone? Hurry up and give it to me, I need to call your older brother." Amelia leaned over to check, but didn’t see her phone on the other side of Theodore, then straightened up and looked at him, "You rascal! Where’s my phone?"
While asking, she raised her hand and gave his leg a slap, not purposely holding back her strength, just acting on instinct.
As for how hard she hit, she didn’t know either. Only the one getting slapped could feel it.
Amelia’s move was quite sudden, and the unprepared Theodore didn’t have time to dodge. Her hand came down firmly on his leg, and he took the hit firmly.
"Mom! Why did you hit me? I’m your most adorable, most considerate son." He howled dramatically, but it actually didn’t hurt much.
"Amelia Linton! Stop that!"
Fabian Holmes, almost at the living room door, heard Theodore’s howling and rushed in quickly without even putting down the bag in his hand.
Upon entering the living room, the first thing he did was walk over to the two people sitting on the sofa.
Seeing Fabian dashing over, Amelia’s face immediately turned sour, and she said irritably, "You didn’t have to run so fast, your son isn’t missing a chunk of meat."
After speaking, she turned her gaze to Theodore sitting beside her and poked his head with a finger, "What are you howling about? Did I pinch you? Or hit you?"
As she spoke, she raised her hand again to poke his head.
"He’s grown up; you shouldn’t keep poking his head." Before Theodore could react, Fabian came over and pulled Amelia aside, seating himself between them and separating them.
Earlier, Easton Holmes had already angered Amelia with his cold remarks. Now Fabian was scolding her without knowing the full story, igniting the fire she had been holding onto.
"What’s wrong with poking his head? I raised him to be this big, and poking him is illegal now!" She looked furious, her eyes seemed to be shooting fire.
"Did you raise him just to poke his head?" Seeing Amelia so furious, Fabian, unaware of the context, assumed she had been arguing with Theodore.
He had some doubts when he came in, but seeing the situation, he was convinced she had been hitting Theodore.
Thinking about Amelia possibly hitting Theodore when he wasn’t around, Fabian’s face immediately fell, and he glared at her, "From now on, don’t worry about him anymore. He’s grown up and doesn’t need your discipline."
If she acted like this in front of him, who knew what she’d do when he wasn’t there.

This was the second time Amelia had heard those words today, and she was so mad she couldn’t even think of the right adjective to describe it.
"Fabian Holmes! You’re really ungrateful. Was he this big at the start? I’ve raised him to be this big, and you say I don’t need to worry about him; you’re talking better than singing." She was fuming, glaring at him in defiance, her expression as awful as could be.
