Although the name Sophia Wood just mentioned wasn’t Lily Turner, Lily knew that the "Rosie" Sophia referred to was her; it was probably her childhood nickname.
This nickname must have been given to her by both her parents. When she thought of this, she couldn’t help but look at Daxton Taylor’s photo.
"Dad! You probably don’t recognize me yet, so let me formally introduce myself—I’m Lily... I’m Rosie. You must remember me." Lily Turner reached out to touch Daxton Taylor’s photo on the tombstone, her nose tingled, and her eyes brimmed with tears. "Now I know you’re here. I will come to visit you again."
It turned out she had misunderstood her mom all along. It wasn’t that her mom didn’t want to bring her to see her dad, but her mom also didn’t know where his grave was.
Sophia Wood extended an arm around Lily Turner’s shoulders, tightening it slightly in a silent act of comforting the grieving Lily.
Staring at Daxton Taylor’s image on the tombstone, Sophia fell into a long silence. At that moment, memories from over twenty years ago flooded her mind...
For quite a while, there was no movement from beside her. Lily Turner withdrew her hand from the tombstone, wiping away the tears on her face.
She silently calmed her emotions before turning her gaze to Sophia Wood, who stood beside her.
Her mom was fixated on the photo on the tombstone, eyes red, her face and demeanor appearing particularly heavy and somber.
"Mom!"
Lily softly called out to Sophia. Whether it was due to being deeply focused or overwhelmed with sadness, Sophia didn’t move an inch and kept staring unblinkingly at the tombstone’s photo.
Seeing this, Lily immediately felt worried. She gently pushed Sophia while softly calling out to her, "Mom!"
This time, Sophia responded slightly, turning her head towards Lily, although the heavy expression on her face hadn’t yet faded.
Upon seeing Lily, she quickly concealed the weightiness from her face, replacing it with a relatively relaxed expression.

Today was the anniversary of Daxton Taylor’s death, and Aiden Taylor’s family would surely come to pay their respects. Sophia wasn’t ready to meet the Taylor Family and didn’t want to encounter them just yet.
Evelyn Taylor had come by earlier, which meant the other Taylor Family members must have also arrived. But for some reason, they didn’t accompany Evelyn.

Though Lily Turner didn’t know Sophia Wood’s true thoughts, she agreed with her mother’s inclination. She bent down to arrange the flowers they brought, and then she took her mom’s arm and left her dad’s grave.
As they were leaving, Lily turned her head to glance at the grave adjacent to Daxton Taylor’s. It was just a fleeting look, and she didn’t see anything clearly.
Sophia Wood never looked at the grave next to Daxton’s. She didn’t have to exert much thought to guess that it was where the elder Taylors were buried alongside Daxton.
She thought that over the past twenty years, the grudges of the past had faded from her memory, but she greatly overestimated her capacity. She realized she wasn’t as carefree and open-minded as she had imagined.
Despite the passing time dulling her hatred for the elder Taylors, Sophia still harbored resentment towards them. Although her hatred might have faded with time, the resentment in her heart remained deep.
