Not noticing anything unusual, Lily Turner and Alice Turner exchanged a silent nod, then walked into the living room together.
Seeing the two sisters walk in, the people chatting in the living room instinctively stopped their conversations and turned to look at them.
All those present were family and close friends, so neither Alice Turner nor Lily Turner felt embarrassed. The sisters walked over to the guests in the living room with polite and natural smiles on their beautiful faces.
"Alice and Lily are down, we can head out now." Christopher Turner spoke as he stood up from the sofa, waiting for all the family and friends present.
With so many family and friends over, Christopher initially planned to host at home, but seeing the turnout, it seemed unlikely. He had underestimated the number of people who would come.
To properly host the family and friends who came to celebrate, he decided on the spot to take everyone out to eat, as everyone was there because of Lily Turner’s upcoming wedding, and he felt it rude for the main party not to be present.
Just coming downstairs, Lily Turner and Alice Turner were unaware of Christopher’s last-minute decision. Hearing him say they could leave now, the sisters were left bewildered.
"Are we going out?"
Alice Turner took the lead, expressing the question in her heart.
"We’re going out for dinner together."
Sophia Wood replied quickly before Christopher could, addressing the confused sisters, then turned her gaze to all the family and friends present, "Let’s go."
With that, she reached out, pulling up a relative sitting beside her.
With both husband and wife speaking up, the family and friends on the sofa stood up one after another, and once everyone was up, they all headed outside the living room.
Alice Turner stood aside with Lily Turner, letting the guests leave first. When Charles Thompson and Amber Wood walked by, the sisters instinctively turned to look at the couple.
Charles Thompson and Amber Wood also noticed the sisters. Charles deliberately slowed his pace, and Amber, next to him, sensed the sudden change.
She tilted her head to look at her husband, then at Lily Turner, standing not far ahead, and instantly understood what it meant. She too slowed her pace, following his lead.
After the other guests left the living room, Charles quickened his steps, walking directly up to Lily Turner and Alice Turner, his gaze primarily focused on Lily.
"Lily! Long time no see."
After hesitating for a moment, he finally spoke, yet once he did, he was at a loss for words and nervously found himself blurting out.
"Hello!"
Lily Turner greeted politely and courteously, and after the greeting, she was unsure of what to say.
Of all the Thompson family, Charles Thompson treated Lily Turner the best, without mentioning Amber Wood, whose attitude towards her was the worst. Henry Thompson was neutral, being nice and unpleasant at times, always lukewarm.
