The unrestrained words of Amber Wood not only angered Charles Thompson but also infuriated Lily Turner and Alice Turner, especially Lily, who was extremely upset.
She really doubted if this woman had a problem with her brain, saying such inconsiderate things, leaving her speechless.

Lily Turner didn’t even know how to respond to what Amber Wood just said. There was no need to engage with a woman lacking such manners; she didn’t want to stoop to that level.
Lily Turner shot an indignant look at Amber Wood, grabbed Alice Turner by the hand, and headed towards the door. She never wanted to see such a woman again, too lacking in manners.
"Auntie! What you just said was really unpleasant. Remember to think it through before you speak next time." As she passed Amber Wood, Alice Turner said this in a hushed voice. After that, she didn’t even glance at Charles Thompson or Amber and left with Lily Turner.
She didn’t care if the other party would get angry or if her own behavior seemed rude.
The moment those words left her mouth, Amber Wood realized she had gone a bit overboard, and seeing other guests looking at her made her start to regret it.
She regretted blurting out those words, especially in such a setting, but it was impossible to take them back now as everyone present had heard them.
However, as Amber stood there, overwhelmed with regret, Alice Turner’s words floated into her ears, and her regret instantly turned to rage.
Yet, when she glared at Alice Turner, ready to lash out, she saw the warning gaze from Charles Thompson, filled with deep disapproval.
Despite feeling resentful and angry, she obediently kept her mouth shut, not just because of his disapproving glare, but also because of the remaining guests waiting to see the drama unfold, making it impossible for her to speak.
When Alice Turner spoke to Amber Wood earlier, her voice was deliberately lowered. Although Charles Thompson couldn’t clearly hear what she said, he knew for sure that she had said something that triggered Amber’s anger when he saw her expression change dramatically.
Upon reaching this conclusion, he promptly shot a warning look at Amber Wood. He wasn’t entirely sure it would work, worried that she might create a scene regardless. That would be a huge embarrassment for him.
However, the outcome made Charles Thompson quite satisfied. Amber Wood didn’t rush to yell at Alice Turner but rather held back her anger, and he let out a sigh of relief.
"Let’s go too. We can discuss this later when we get back." Charles Thompson was no longer as angry as before, and his tone softened, his expression also becoming more relaxed than earlier.
Amber Wood, while appearing much calmer than before, still struggled to calm down inside. Besides anger, all she felt was agitation.
She wanted to shout out loud, but given the situation, she had to hold it in.
Seeing that nothing else would happen, the guests at the door, waiting to watch the scene, turned and left.
Lily Turner and Alice Turner followed the guests out, but once outside, they didn’t immediately drive away. They stood not far from the entrance, waiting for Charles Thompson and Amber Wood to come out.
The sisters weren’t waiting for the couple to argue; rather, they didn’t want to leave first since they were the hosts, and couldn’t leave before the guests.
