Just as Isla Lane came out of the private room, Thomas Fisher thought she was going to the restroom. However, when she directly walked towards them, he started to feel uneasy.
What exactly does Aunt Lane mean? Why does she keep staring at him?
It wasn’t until this moment that he suddenly realized she was worried he had intentions towards her daughter-in-law.
After seeing through Isla Lane’s real intention, Thomas Fisher urged her, making it very clear that he wanted her to leave without any hint of evasion or ambiguity.
"I’m going to the restroom first."
Thomas Fisher’s intention for her to leave was so obvious, how could Isla Lane not see it? However, she was very concerned about not separating him from Alice Turner.
Still, she didn’t stay there any longer; she went to the restroom to pass the time and then decided what to do next after watching the situation.
Isla Lane looked at Alice Turner and then at Thomas Fisher, before finally heading reluctantly to the restroom.
"Aren’t you full? If you’re full, just go home," said Alice Turner, issuing an expulsion order to Thomas Fisher as soon as Isla Lane left. She had clearly observed the conversation filled with overt and covert tension between them.
Her mother-in-law already misunderstood that there was something between her and him. If her guess was right, her mother-in-law going to the restroom was just a pretense; she must be hiding somewhere watching them both secretly now.
Thomas Fisher was reluctant to leave, but he couldn’t find a suitable reason to stay, and the excuse of joining them for a meal was already quite weak.
"Then I’ll go inside and say goodbye to Uncle and Aunt before I leave." After saying that, he glanced at the woman beside him and then walked towards the private room.
Watching the tall figure walking further and further away, Alice Turner felt somewhat guilty. Was it really necessary to make a fuss about someone just joining her for a meal?

She let out a deep sigh and turned to look out the window again.
By now, it was completely dark, and the streetlights, along with the billboards and neon lights on both sides of the street, had all lit up, making the night extraordinarily beautiful with various colors of light.
However, Alice Turner had no mood to enjoy the beautiful night view. Her mind was filled with thoughts about divorcing Benjamin Shaw. She spoke so casually about it to Lily Turner, but her heart was far from light.
It wasn’t because she lingered for a man who didn’t love her at all, but she was worried about how to tell her parents, and how she would face her father- and mother-in-law, who had always been kind to her, in the future.
These seemed like non-issues on the surface, but once divorced, they became difficult problems to handle.
That man was only concerned with enjoying life with another woman and hadn’t even discussed these foreseeable issues with her.
Is divorce just her own issue?
If that awful man keeps showing off, she wouldn’t get divorced with him and would see if the other woman continues to make a fuss. She would see if he comes to her with sweet words then.
"Where is Thomas?"
Hearing Isla Lane’s voice from behind her, Alice Turner turned her head. Seeing Isla Lane again in such a short time did not surprise her at all. "He said he had something to do and left first."
As she spoke, she discreetly observed her mother-in-law, noticing that after she said Thomas Fisher had left, her mother-in-law obviously breathed a sigh of relief.
"Then I’ll return to the private room too."
The alarm was lifted, so Isla Lane returned to the private room with ease.
