The events of that night began in darkness and ended in darkness.
After that night, Alice Turner thought that what happened would just pass and be forgotten. However, what she never expected was that the man who had played such a passionate game with her that night was Thomas Fisher, one of her husband’s best friends.
"Yes! I was the man from that night, and it’s really not easy for you to remember," said Thomas Fisher as he shook hands with Alice Turner on the night they gathered at the bar to celebrate Easton Holmes and Lily Turner’s marriage. Whether it was the sound of her voice or the feeling of her hand, it all felt extremely familiar to him.
That night, he suspected she was the woman from six months ago, but before he could take a good look at her, she had left.
The next day, he unexpectedly ran into her at the airport.
At that moment, he made up his mind to get to know her well and see if she was indeed the woman from that night.
He both intentionally and unintentionally maintained contact with her, and the longer their interactions lasted, the stronger his sense of familiarity became. Yet he still couldn’t confirm if she was that woman.

Alice Turner’s sudden shout pulled Thomas Fisher out of his reverie. As he returned to reality, he looked down at her in his arms and saw her staring at him with an angry expression.
It was the first time he’d seen her this angry, and he was taken aback. "I’ve been drinking, I can’t drive now..."
"Whether you can drive or not is your own problem; it has nothing to do with me," Alice Turner cut him off abruptly, her tone as harsh as her expression, without a trace of softness.
Thomas Fisher seemed unfazed by her words and gave a roguish smile. "You can’t be so heartless. Even if it’s just because I’m so handsome, you should show some kindness."
He kept staring at her while speaking, but her expression remained just as rigid, unchanged by his words.
"Thomas Fisher! Get out of the car!"
Alice Turner called his full name as she told him to get out of the car again, this time with gritted teeth.
"Alright, I’ll get out. Just don’t be mad anymore." Thomas Fisher wanted to continue lingering in the car, but seeing the restrained expression on Alice Turner’s face, he quickly dropped his playful demeanor.
He put on a serious expression, looked at her and said, "I’ll come find you again."
After saying that, regardless of whether she would be angry, he leaned down and kissed her lightly at the corner of her mouth before reluctantly letting her go and getting out of the car.
After getting out, Thomas Fisher didn’t head straight to his own car. Instead, he stood in front of Alice Turner’s car, with his hands on the passenger side window, leaning over to look inside at her.
Through the dim car window, he saw her pointing a finger at him, her mouth moving as if she were saying something to him.
Her face was full of anger, and he guessed she was probably cursing him. But he didn’t care at all; he kept smiling as he watched her.
"Thomas, why haven’t you left yet? Didn’t Easton call you saying there’s something urgent?" Isla Lane noticed as Thomas Fisher emerged, having told the four inside that Easton Holmes needed him for something urgent, but he was still outside, grinning foolishly against Alice Turner’s car door.
