Serena Zimmerman internally questioned Amelia Linton’s words. If she hadn’t seen Michael Linton leaving in such a hurry last night, she might have believed Amelia’s words. But now, she was highly skeptical of them.

"Then you must take more care in the future. Not getting enough rest is really bad for your health." Not knowing exactly what had happened, Serena couldn’t directly ask and had to follow Amelia’s lead by expressing concern for her.

Ignoring Evelyn’s confusion and dissatisfaction, Amelia turned towards Serena standing beside her, deciding to change the subject and not let them worry anymore about her complexion.
Serena was momentarily taken aback before shaking her head and replying, "Everything was prepared before yesterday. Today we’re just waiting for Easton to go to the Turner Family’s house to bring Lily back, and then proceed to the church for the wedding ceremony."
To avoid chaos today, all conceivable preparations were made ahead of time before last night.
"That girl went back to the Turner Family’s house?"
No wonder she hadn’t seen that girl when she came in earlier; she had gone back to her parent’s house. Thinking that the girl would soon be rightfully her daughter-in-law, Amelia felt an uncomfortable tightness in her heart.
But what could she do about it? The situation had become a foregone conclusion, and besides, everyone else liked that girl so much. Her not liking her was of no consequence.
Serena could sense from Amelia’s tone that she was dissatisfied with Lily Turner. She had previously learned from Michael Linton that Amelia didn’t really like Lily, but she didn’t know the specifics of that dislike.

Serena didn’t elaborate further, merely responding with a "hmm."
At this moment, there was a commotion in the living room, and Serena, Amelia, and Evelyn instinctively looked towards it.
