Lily Turner really wanted to stand up, but without shoes on her feet, she could only tilt her neck back and look up at her older sisters who were looking down at her.
Her neck was sore from craning, but her sisters still didn’t say a word; they just watched her in silent endurance.
Easton Holmes, holding a shoe in one hand, parted the women surrounding Lily with the other, finally seeing the wife he hadn’t seen all night, and blurted out, "Honey!"
As he called out ’Honey,’ he bent down to squat in front of her.

Lily seemed to have been wronged somehow, and she suddenly hugged Easton tightly, both arms locked around his neck as if he’d disappear the moment she let go.
Seeing this, Charlotte Shaw shook her head and remarked, "Girls really grow up and leave the nest!"
After sighing, she turned her gaze to the other sisters, "Ladies! What are you all standing around here for? Playing third wheel?"
Charlotte’s reminder snapped the other sisters back to their senses, and they hurriedly turned their backs to the couple.
Lily’s eyes were only for Easton now; she didn’t even notice what everyone else was doing.
Easton felt the same; everything around him seemed unreal, only the woman in his arms was tangible.
"Big Brother! Sister-in-law! That’s enough for now, all the siblings are waiting for you." Seeing Charlotte Shaw and Alice Turner turning their backs to Easton and Lily, Thomas Fisher, who’d been waiting at the door, immediately figured out what was happening.

Athena Linton covered her eyes, furtively peeping at the couple behind her. They’d already separated, and her brother was stooping to put shoes on her goddess sister.

Thomas Fisher, knowing who Athena referred to as goddess sister, realized she was a fan of Lily Turner just from her words.
"From now on, you should call her sister-in-law; calling her sister like that isn’t quite appropriate," he corrected, thinking the term goddess sister wasn’t fitting.
"Why wouldn’t it be? I think it’s fine, and besides, neither my brother nor goddess sister has any objections," Athena replied dismissively, paying no mind to Thomas Fisher’s correction, already resolved to continue calling her that.
At this moment, Easton Holmes had already put the shoes on Lily and helped her stand up, speaking to the back of Athena Linton’s head, "Both your sister-in-law and I do have objections."

"Then I’ll call you brother-in-law from now on." Athena blurted out without hesitation.
