"We'll be there soon!"
Easton Holmes still didn't directly answer Lily Turner's question. He just earnestly and confidently said they'd be there soon, and his foot never stopped as he floored the gas pedal, quickly increasing the car's speed.
Even though they were going fast, the ride was exceptionally smooth. Lily Turner didn't feel any discomfort from the sudden acceleration, though she was a bit annoyed by Easton's evasive attitude.
After staring at him for a while, she finally had to admit defeat.
Oh well! Asking was useless anyway; she couldn't just jump out of the car. She had no intention or desire to do anything so drastic.
Lily shifted her gaze to the road ahead. Since she couldn't get answers now, she wanted to be the first to see where they were headed.
A few minutes later, the car came to a steady stop.
The beach?!
In the car's headlights, Lily saw where they had parked. At first, she thought her eyes were playing tricks on her, but after focusing, she confirmed that it was indeed the sea.
She had guessed many places he might take her, but the beach was never on her mind.
Unexpected as it was, she really liked this place, especially the beach at night, which she particularly loved.
Sitting by the seaside, quietly listening to the waves crashing against the rocks.
Because she'd been busy catching up with her shooting schedule, Lily Turner had been on set filming for days and hadn't had any free time to do the things she loved.
Pushing the car door open, she got out and walked towards the shore.
Seeing her get out of the car, Easton Holmes didn't hesitate and quickly followed. It only took him a few steps to catch up with her. "Do you like the beach too?"
From her expression when she first saw the sea and her actions afterward, he deduced she really liked this place.
"Too?" Lily turned her head to glance at the approaching man, asking, "From what you said, do you also like the beach?"
Easton smiled: "You guessed right."
"Do you come here often?"
"I don't have the time, what about you?"
"I come often when I'm free, but not when I'm busy."
Easton and Lily walked shoulder to shoulder, leisurely chatting as they headed towards the sea, stopping about a meter away from the water.
The night enveloped the sea and sky, and the ocean lay hidden in the darkness. The light reflected on the water looked like stars in the sky, twinkling with the flowing sea.
Were they ships returning from afar? Or lights from a fishing boat?
The lights on the sea illuminated something within the two of them. Neither felt the darkness of the night; standing by the sea, they embraced the warmth of this tranquil night.
It was as if Easton and Lily had prearranged it; they both stood silently by the sea, feeling the sea breeze and looking at the ocean blending with the night sky.
Achoo!
The sudden sound of sneezing broke the serene atmosphere.
Easton turned his head to see Lily wrapping her clothes around herself. Almost instinctively, he quickly took off his jacket and draped it over her shoulders.
"Thank you!"
The jacket still carried the warmth from him, and Lily immediately felt a warm sensation spread through her. This warmth quickly permeated her heart.
She cherished this warm feeling, but she still removed the jacket that brought her warmth.
"You should wear it yourself, it's quite chilly." She handed the jacket back to him; she couldn't be so selfish.
