However, before Rael could perform the same attack twice, a massive fireball was sent his way.
He didn't panic, merely weaving to the side.
It was a bit surprising how much faster he had gotten, as by now, his speed was at a staggering 11,889% increase to his base speed.
And due to that, Rael avoided each of the fireballs—until eventually, the lich began improvising.
It slammed its staff onto the ground, and the moment it did, a fierce yet cold wind flew past Rael, turning the ground solid ice.
And with it, a surprising pop-up.

His boots were frozen to the ground, to the point where even his toes turned blue.
But that wasn't something a little healing couldn't fix, so he prepared his Violin Blade and glanced toward the lich.
To his surprise, the lich wasn't standing where it had been mere seconds ago—instead, its fist was now right in front of his face.
Rael tried his best to dodge it; however, the lich still managed to skim his cheek and send him flying toward his car.

Of course, before he damaged his expensive-ass car, Rael stabbed his rapier into the ground, catching himself.
It hurt a fair deal, but his HP was still in the safe zone.
Yet again, the lich appeared in front of him. However, instead of a fist, it held a fireball inside its palm before swiftly shooting it at Rael's abdomen.
Too bad I was ready, you shitty bag of bones, Rael snickered as he decided to make use of his newest skill.

Rael grinned and sprang into action. By using his superior speed, he grabbed the lich's shoulders, also deflecting the fireball that had been headed toward his abdomen a mere moment ago.
And of course, before the lich could even begin to retaliate, Rael pulled his head back and quickly headbutted the lich.

Before it could land or stabilize its momentum, Rael suddenly tapped his Black String.
And at the same time, he decided to do a little something different.
Purifying flames didn't work, but what if he did a crystal flame?
It didn't make sense at a glance, but neither did his HP percentage damage idea.
However, it worked, and Rael decided to try it out regardless.
Therefore, he focused on a scorching flame while also thinking of the hard crystal-based stuff he was used to crafting.
And in the very next moment, he hit the Red String, sending out a melodic and innocent note straight toward the lich.
It was a brown flame—likely a combination between his blue crystals and the orange flames.
And of course, with his increased stats and the sheer amount of power he had put into the attack, it very quickly connected with the lich's torso.

It was a bit weaker than the previous attack, since he rushed it a fair deal.

Basically, it was one hit away from death, and as much as Rael wanted to kill it in style, he was more interested in getting one final big hit.

So it would really be interesting to see if he could deal above 5 billion damage.
Therefore, Rael leaped off the ground, reaching the lich who had the upper part of its body charred black.
Since it was an undead and a boss monster, it was still alive.
But not for long, as Rael grabbed its eye holes like a bowling ball and sent it hurtling toward the ground at a rapid speed.

With that, he gripped his Violin Blade tightly and executed the same combo again.
It was soon followed by the same imaginative process, just more compact and to the point.
All he wanted that attack to do was deal a massive chunk of damage.
And as he tapped his red string, he soon got what he wanted.
