Re-Overlord: I Can Acquire Anything! Chapter 119

Igaris’s body was still burning.

Lightning had scorched his flesh, and blood oozed from the cracks in his skin.

But his soul.... his soul was not here anymore.

Drifting through time, space, and memories not his own.

No. They were his. Just from a different timeline.

In his vision, he stood tall beneath a sky of falling stars.

The heavens burned. Worlds collapsed. Eternal Empires screamed as they crumbled.

And at the center of it all—

He stood, cloaked in power, eyes like golden galaxies, hair flowing like dark silk.

His presence bent the laws of reality itself.

That man was another Igaris from the future timeline, the same existence. He had awakened the same Infinite Acquisition ability just like the one he now possessed.

With it, that Igaris had risen through the ranks of power by enslaving, consuming, stealing, and evolving.

He became a King, then an Emperor, and eventually...

The world bent to his will. The realms hailed his name.

He had 26-six wives, goddesses, empresses, warriors, and sages, all of whom loved him fiercely.

He had children, brilliant and kind, destined for greatness.

And for a time... his world was perfect.

But all light attracts shadows.

Beings from beyond the Chaos and Creation, known as VOIDS.

They didn’t have any specific form.

But their purpose was clear: To end everything.

They bypassed the Chaos. Shattered heavens. Corrupted the laws of reality itself.

And they eventually targeted him.

Not just to kill him.

But to erase everything he had built.

He watched, helplessly, as his children died, as his wives were ripped from the Akashic Record, as his friends and comrades turned to dust before his eyes.

He fought to the end. Gods and demons fell beneath his feet.

He wielded the Wheel of Time like a blade, bent the Akashic Record to rewrite fate itself.

But the more he fought... the more he lost.

Until he stood alone.

‹ I failed... again ›

The remorseful voice of that Overlord Igaris echoed across the void.

‹ I saved so many. But I couldn’t save them ›

He looked directly at the current Igaris.

Locked eyes with him across time.

His eyes didn’t hold fury or warning.

They held... pleading.

‹ My pitiful past self.. You... You still have time. A chance to rewrite it all. Make a world where sacrifice isn’t the only way. Where peace is real. Where you they can live safely. Don’t let my sacrifice go in vain.›

< The Record will try to bind you. The Wheel will try to shake you. The Crisis will try to erase you. But if you awaken what lies inside you fully... You might be the first to defy them all.>

Igaris confused and apprehensive, finally asked,

"Am I still me? I don’t want to be someone else."

‹ Yes, you’re still you, Igaris. I am not here to take your life from you. Even if I had the the capabilities to do so. But, the emotions and will remain deep inside you. You can’t avoid them ›

‹ As an apology, the future memories is your’s. They are currently fragmented in many parts because of your safety. I had go through a lot to transfer them. So use them wisely ›

The voice sighed sadly in the end,

‹ Anyway, this is where we part ways, Igaris. I am leaving everything to you. Save everyone. Otherwise, I might come to haunt you again, haha... ›

The dream shattered like glass.

"Huff, huff, huff..."

Igaris stood at the very top of stairway, gasping for breath.

His bloodied form stood proudly atop the Dragon Ascension Stairway, his eyes hollow with what he just saw.

And above him, the lightning calmed down.

The sky became clear.

Then, a single golden lotus bloomed in the air and descended toward him slowly.

"A Heavenly Blessing!"

The sect elders trembled.

The Supreme Elders rose from their seats.

Sect Master Fang bellowed,

"Impossible... That wasn’t just a trial. That was the approval of the Heavens..."

"A Dao Child is among us!"

The winds over Soaring Dragon Sect carried more than just clouds that day.

They carried whispers, rumors, awe.

From the training halls to the scripture libraries, from the beast stables to the inner disciple dorms—everyone was talking about the same thing.

A Dao Child had appeared.

In the Outer disciples’ training yard...

"Senior brother, have you heard?"

"A Dao Child has joined our sect."

"Huh? Really? How do you know that?"

"Tsk, does that matter? Everyone’s talking about it."

"Martial Uncle! What is a Dao Child?" a curious young disciple asked, wiping sweat from his brow after sword drills.

The elder martial uncle glanced at him and nodded thoughtfully.

"Junior brother is still young, so I will explain. A Dao Child is someone born with the direct favor of the Martial Heavens. For them, Martial Arts are as easy as breathing. They comprehend techniques faster than anyone else. And when they fight—"

He paused, fingers tightening around his tea cup.

"—they fight like destiny itself is on their side."

The disciples nearby listened with wide eyes.

"Such a person... is in our sect now?"

"Indeed," the martial uncle confirmed. "And it’s no ordinary event. Soaring Dragon Sect hasn’t had a Dao Child in over three hundred years."

Another disciple chimed in excitedly.

"Doesn’t that mean our sect might rise to become the strongest in the empire?"

"Don’t be naive," the senior brother said sharply. "There are still sects far above us in power and legacy. They have more resources. More elders. And they also have their own Dao Children. But..."

His eyes gleamed faintly.

"...if our Dao Child surpasses theirs, then yes. We may rise again."

As excitement bloomed across the sect, anticipation swelled. Everyone wanted to meet this mysterious figure.

Some with admiration.

And others... with ambition.

The youngest Supreme Elder of the Soaring Dragon Sect, Serenity, resided here with her disciples and personal followers. It was a place of ethereal grace, where discipline and beauty coexisted in perfect harmony.

All around the peak, jade-like young women moved elegantly. Some sparred on open platforms, their flowing robes trailing behind them like clouds. Others meditated in silence beneath blossoming spirit trees, their swords resting across their laps. The air itself shimmered faintly with pure spiritual energy, unique to Serenity’s Peak.

Inside a quiet jade hall, a soft voice broke the calm.

"Master, do you really plan to take this Dao Child as your disciple?" asked a sweet-sounding girl, Tian Yue. She stood beside her master with uncertainty on her face.

Serenity sat in lotus position on a raised jade seat, arms calmly folded. She appeared to be in her early thirties, with long black hair cascading behind her like a waterfall. Her expression was tranquil, but her tone carried unshakable authority.

"Yes," she replied without hesitation.

Tian Yue blinked in surprise. Her brows furrowed slightly.

"But Master, you always said you only accept female disciples."

"I do," Serenity said, her voice steady. "But this one is an exception. He is a Dao Child, Yue’er."

Tian Yue went quiet after seeing her master’s unwavering expression. There was no room for doubt in her demeanor.

"Alright... Can you at least tell me his name?" she asked softly.

"I do not see why not. His name is Yuhan."
