Reawakening: I Can Absorb Infinite Skills Chapter 130

The juggernaut roared in rage, molten spittle hitting the ground with a hiss. Its horns flared brighter, smoke coiling from its hide. The air grew hotter, each breath biting their lungs with fire.

Arden only smiled, tilting his head as if waiting.

But the Juggernaut's roared in response, it's roar echoing through the trees as Arden shifted his stance.

Heat rolled from the beast in waves, turning the clearing into a furnace. Its molten hide cracked and smoked, every breath spitting embers into the air.

Rael squinted against the glare, sweat already glistening on his brow. "It looks half- dead and twice as angry. Your call, Arden."

Arden smirked. "Don't get distracted by how bright it shines. Remember, fire burns itself out faster the hotter it rages."

Nyra's voice was calm but sharp as she raised her staff, frost swirling at the tip. "Then we push it until it breaks."

Zephyra growled low, cerulean flame sparking between her claws.

The beast stomped forward, horns glowing white- hot.

The ground hissed beneath its weight. Then it lunged.

"Volcanic Charge!" Arden barked.

The Juggernaut became a streak of fire, its horns carving a blazing path.

The earth cracked and erupted as it slammed down, molten fissures racing toward the party.

"Nyra, wall!"

Ice surged up in an instant, wind weaving through the frozen barrier. The molten cracks smashed against it, steam exploding into the sky. Zephyra leapt through the haze, her claws burning cerulean.

She slashed at the Juggernaut's flank, lotus- shaped bursts of fire scattering across its hide.

It bellowed and whipped around, flames bursting from its armor. Arden's eyes narrowed. "Rael!"

Lightning snapped as Rael slammed his gauntlet forward, a Frostbound Arc spear lancing through the air. Ice and electricity struck the Juggernaut's shoulder, slowing its swing. Arden blinked forward in that opening, Veilstep Fang cutting a precise strike against its burning core.

The beast staggered with a scream that rattled the trees.

"Good," Arden muttered, stepping back as molten sparks rained around him. "Keep its core under pressure."

The Juggernaut lifted its head and inhaled. Its chest glowed brighter. Arden's pulse spiked. "Scatter!"

A cone of fire erupted from its maw, so hot the ground turned glassy under the blast. Zephyra darted through the edge of the inferno, her lotusflame bursting wide, splitting the firestorm in two with a bloom of wind- fed blue fire.

From behind, Nyra planted her staff and whispered, "Crimson Lotus Veil." A shifting zone of icy wind spread around her, blunting the edges of the Juggernaut's fire.

Arden appeared inside it with a flicker of Phase Step, his aegis blooming outward to catch stray flames before they reached her.

"Nice timing," he said.

Nyra's lips curved faintly. "Try not to burn yourself next time."

Before he could retort, the Juggernaut slammed its horns into the ground again. Cracks burst outward, lava bright and racing.

"Smolderquake!" Rael shouted, bracing.

Arden called, "Sync with me!" Umbral Pulse rippled through them, their movements threading together. They leapt as one, the cracks erupting beneath their heels.

In mid- air, Rael chained lightning into Nyra's shard volley, the two elements spinning together. Their storm spears rained down, puncturing the Juggernaut's glowing hide.

It screamed, swinging upward with molten horns. Arden dropped, Lotusfang Aegis blooming just in time.

The horns smashed against the shield, force echoing back in a shockwave. Rael slid in under that cover, his gauntlets blazing with Crimson Lotus Conduction, punching arcs of frost and lightning straight into the Juggernaut's exposed ribs.

Zephyra followed with Crimson Bloom Strike, her claws erupting in a lotus- shaped explosion that blew molten plates off its side.

The Juggernaut reeled. Its fire dimmed for a heartbeat, then flared again, wilder.

Arden's eyes sharpened. "It's overheating. Don't let it reset."

They pressed harder. Nyra's Glacial Tempest pulled winds inward, ice slashing at the beast from every side.

Rael drove strikes into its legs, freezing and shattering its footing. Arden's flame spears pierced the weak points they exposed, each one detonating in bursts of fire that forced the Juggernaut down further.

But it wasn't finished. It roared one last time, flames pouring from every crack in its hide. The ground shook under it. "Blazing Maul!" Arden warned as it lunged with both horns, a final crushing blow.

"Hold the line!" Arden thrust his hand out, Lotusfang Aegis expanding into a dome.

The horns slammed into it, flames cracking across the surface. Arden gritted his teeth, veins of light blooming through the shield. "Now, end it!"

Rael's gauntlets sparked, lightning bursting along the cracks. Nyra's shards spun into a spiral of ice and wind, striking the beast's head. Zephyra leapt high, her body a streak of cerulean fire, and raked her claws down its molten skull.

Arden drove the finishing strike, igniting his flame into a condensed spear. It pierced the Juggernaut's chest and detonated.

The beast gave one broken roar, then collapsed, its fire finally burning out.

Silence followed, broken only by the hiss of cooling stone.

Arden lowered his hand, catching his breath. He glanced at the fading steam and said, calm as ever, "Told you. Fire always burns itself out."

In the shadows beyond the clearing, the Crimson Fang watched, their faces pale. They had tracked Arden to mock him, maybe strike while he tired.

Instead, they saw him command a berserk Juggernaut's death like it was training.

"Monsters," one muttered.

And higher still, envoys looked on from the top grounds, their cloaks fluttering.

They exchanged quiet words. None doubted it now. Arden's group had been holding back before. What they showed here wasn't luck. It was mastery.

The trial's stage had changed. And every witness knew it.
