With a roar that echoed across the entire mountain range, the Attack Titan broke the deadlock, and slammed Lucian’s head with an unexpected head but.
The force created a mini explosion, creating massive cracks across Lucian’s crystalline forehead.
Brilliant brilliant crimson red blood trickled down Lucian’s face as he staggered backward from the force.
The titan suddenly moved as it roared, putting its entire strength into its right leg, sharp bone blade suddenly expanded as he swept his leg outwards like a massive whip.
"BANG!"
The kick slammed heavily against Lucian’s waist. The bone blade pierced through his midsection, the force so intense it directly shattered his spine, sending Lucian flying sidewards like a perfectly tossed used condom.
His body was sent flying through the air as he collided with a small mountain peak.
"RIMBLE!"
Stone exploded outward as his body carved a perfect tunnel through solid rock. A second later, the peak collapsed in on itself with a deafening rumble, sending up a plume of dust visible for kilometers.
For a moment, all was still. The Attack Titan stood with fury still in its eyes, steam rising from its wounds as they slowly knitted closed as he watched the collapsed mountain.
Suddenly, —"BOOM!"
The rubble exploded outward as Lucian burst outward, his injuries already healed, his eyes blazing intense crimson color.
"As you can see, I am not dead! You’ll have to do better than that!" Lucian’s voice boomed, the sound so deep it made loose stones vibrate across the battlefield.
The Attack Titan’s eyes turned another shade of red as it charged again, but this time Lucian immediately activated Phantom Traveller’s skill, turning into an afterimage as he sidestepped with surprising speed, using the titan’s momentum against it.
As the titan charged past him and collided with his afterimage, Lucian raised his hand and suddenly drove his elbow down into its spine with an enormous force.
"CRACK!"
The impact was so severe that the ground beneath them cratered inward, creating a perfect bowl-shaped depression thirty meters across.
The Attack Titan’s spine shattered under the blow, its legs temporarily paralyzed as it collapsed face-first into the dirt.
Not wasting the opportunity, Lucian grabbed the titan’s ankle and slammed him towards the ground like an hammer to an anvil!
"BANG!" "BANG!!" "BANG!!!"
Massive holes filled the ground as the Titan was been hammered like a whack-a-mole game.
Knowing it won’t be enough, Lucian began to spin, slowly at first, then with increasing speed until both massive forms were a blur of motion.
The centrifugal force was so great that chunks of earth and rock were pulled into their vortex, creating a swirling maelstrom of debris.
With perfect timing, Lucian released his grip, sending the Attack Titan hurtling through the air like a missile. The massive body crashed through three consecutive mountain peaks before disappearing from sight, leaving perfect titan-shaped holes in its wake.
The distant impact shook the entire mountain range, triggering avalanches that cascaded down multiple peaks.
Birds took flight in massive flocks, darkening sections of the sky as they fled the devastation.
Lucian didn’t wait for the titan to return. He launched himself forward with a leap that carried him over a kilometer, leaving a crater where he had stood.
As he soared through the air, he could see the Attack Titan already rising from the impact site, its regeneration working overtime to repair damage.
"BANG!!!"
He collided with the Attack Titan!
Their collision mid-air created a sonic boom that shattered every remaining intact rock face within a kilometer radius. The shockwave blasted away the clouds above, creating a perfect circular hole in the overcast sky through which sunlight now streamed down upon the two titans.
They grappled as they fell, exchanging blows that would have leveled buildings.
Each impact released a smaller sonic boom, the air unable to move out of the way fast enough as their fists connected with each other’s bodies.
The barrage was so rapid that to any spectators, it would have appeared as if continuous thunder was emanating from the two falling titans.
They crashed to earth together, the impact creating a crater half a kilometer wide. The ground literally liquefied beneath them from the force, stone becoming momentarily molten before cooling around their massive forms.
Lucian recovered first, driving a devastating punch into the Attack Titan’s chest.
The blow released a vertical shockwave that split the clouds above them all the way to the stratosphere, creating a pillar of clear sky that stretched upward as far as the eye could see.
The Attack Titan doubled over, momentarily stunned. Lucian clasped his hands together above his head and brought them down on the back of the titan’s neck with a hammer blow.
"KA-BOOOOM!"
The force drove the creature face-first into the ground. The impact sent seismic waves rippling outward, triggering landslides on distant mountains.
But the titan was just too powerful. It caught Lucian’s next strike in its massive palm, the clash of forces creating yet another shockwave that blasted away the nearby dust and debris. With surprising speed, it twisted Lucian’s arm and drove its knee into his elbow.
"SNAP!"
Even with his crystalline skin, Lucian’s arm broke under the pressure. He roared in pain and fury as the titan followed up with a headbutt that connected with his jaw. Stars exploded in Lucian’s vision as he was sent tumbling backward, carving a deep line through solid rock.
The Attack Titan pressed forward relentlessly, each footstep like an earthquake. It leaped into the air, bringing both feet down in a drop kick aimed at Lucian!
At the last possible second, Lucian rolled aside.
"KA-BOOM!"
The titan’s feet struck empty ground with such force that the entire plateau they fought on fractured, massive fissures spreading outward in all directions.
Using the momentary opening, Lucian suddenly spread his arms.
Dragon Soul Devourer suddenly materialized, its body expanding to match Lucian’s massive size.
In that split second he drove his spear straight into the titan’s thigh. The spear penetrated the hardened flesh, drawing a roar of pain and fury from the creature.
