Since returning from Yangcheng City, Lu Jiaxin hadn’t visited the Fan Family and hadn’t contacted Liao Xiangmei, let alone brought any gifts. She was well aware that her son bore an undeniable responsibility for the near tragedy that befell Lu Jiaxin. With the downfall of that malicious mother and daughter, she feared what Lu Jiaxin might do to Fan Yinuo next and worried it might affect her husband and eldest son. Therefore, she had used the threat of severing ties to compel Fan Yinuo to apologize.
Unable to break open the door, Liao Xiangmei, with her eyes turning red, pleaded, “Jiaxin, Jiaxin, tell that girl to stop hitting. Jiaxin, for the sake of the many years of friendship between me and your mother, please spare Yinuo!”
Lu Jiaxin asked coldly, “Tell me, conscientiously, does he deserve the beating?”
Liao Xiangmei hastily nodded, “He does, he does. When your Uncle Fan found out, he too gave Yinuo a beating, leaving him bruised and battered. But, no matter what, Yinuo does not deserve to die.”

Lu Jiaxin was not worried about that, for Xiaoxiao was personally trained by Master Qian, knowing when to hold back. However, as the screams grew fainter, she too started to worry. If Fan Yinuo really was killed, it wouldn’t be a big loss, but Qian Xiaoxiao would end up in jail.

Soon, the door opened. Qian Xiaoxiao approached Lu Jiaxin and reported, “Sister Xin, don’t worry, he’s not dead.”

Fan Yinuo, with fire in his eyes, saw Lu Jiaxin and accused, “Lu Jiaxin, you’re too cruel.”
Lu Jiaxin scoffed, “If I were truly cruel, I would have publicly reported you for getting Zhao Siyi pregnant and then coaxing her into an abortion. Then you would be expelled from school just like Zhao Siyi.”
Aunt Liao’s heart chilled. She pinched Fan Yinuo hard and hissed lowly, “If you don’t want your father to kick you out and disown you as his son, then shut up.”
Fan Yinuo, in pain, couldn’t help but wail.
Aunt Liao said, “Jiaxin, have you calmed down now? If you’re still angry, you can beat him again.”
Fan Yinuo was terrified, “Mom, Mom, what are you saying?”
Lu Jiaxin spoke, “Aunt Liao, for the sake of our past relationship, I’ll let him off this time. But if he dares to show his face before me again, I’ll beat him every time I see him.”
Fan Yinuo thought she was too overbearing, but Liao Xiangmei nodded her head in agreement, then attempted to help him stand up and go home. However, Fan Yinuo was in so much pain all over his body that he couldn’t stand up at all.
Qian Xiaoxiao shouldered him, dumping him outside the door, and once Liao Xiangmei had left, she promptly closed the door. She dusted off her hands, turned to Lu Jiaxin, and said, “Sister Xin, this heartbreaker caused you to miss out on university, are you just going to let him off ?”
