"Well, isn’t it hard to finally have a free moment without being allowed to enjoy the human experience?" Kai Bright murmured with a yawn, but nonetheless asked, "What’s up, Charles?"
After asking, Kai Bright suddenly realized the phone had gone silent.
Kai Bright held the phone up to his eyes, seeing it was still in the call, so he placed it back to his ear: "Hey, hey... Charles, can you hear me?"
"We’re in the city!" Charles Seymour spoke irritably.
Did he think we were in some remote forest where the signal was still bad?
He somewhat regretted calling Kai Bright, such a fool.
But he really couldn’t find anyone else to consult with, so he reluctantly decided to ask Kai Bright.
"I have a question for you." Charles Seymour said.
"Go ahead, Charles." The moment he heard Charles Seymour’s extremely serious tone over the phone, Kai Bright’s carefree attitude vanished instantly, and he reverted back to his mission-ready panther state, all serious.
"Sophie didn’t seem in the least bit repulsed by seeing the medical instruments in the villa, do you think... maybe she considers me her boyfriend a little?"
Charles Seymour mustered his courage to ask, and then anxiously waited for Kai Bright’s response, only to find...
Silence on the other end.
Charles Seymour frowned and asked, "Did you not hear?"
Then he considered an answer that made his heart clutch suddenly: "Actually, she really doesn’t have any feelings for me..."
Kai Bright on the other end: "..."
The fierce aura of the panther deflated like a balloon and disappeared entirely, leaving him lying limp and motionless on the bed.
He didn’t even have the energy to disdain Charles Seymour, all of it was sapped away by Charles Seymour’s last words, wasn’t it?
Kai Bright said nothing, but Charles Seymour became anxious instead. For better or worse, Kai Bright should at least give him an answer!
"Actually, I think Sophie does have a bit of a thing for you." Facing someone like Charles Seymour, who is utterly clueless about feelings and has negative relationship skills, what could he say?
He could only go along with what Charles said, helping him relax so he could comfortably interact with Sophie Wilson.
If he were to directly tell Charles Seymour now that Sophie Wilson actually really likes him, it might scare Charles Seymour to death.

He firmly believed that if Charles Seymour’s relationship eventually failed... he might end up being chopped in half by him.
"Really?" Charles Seymour’s tone clearly revealed his delight.
With a thud, Charles Seymour puzzledly asked, "What’s wrong with you?"
"It’s nothing, just drank too much, dizzy, fell off the bed." Kai Bright, rubbing his own banged-up waist, ground his teeth and climbed back on the bed, the pain was intense.
Damn it, it’s not that he’s cowardly; it’s just that Charles Seymour’s reactions are too terrifying.
He couldn’t possibly associate this emotion with Charles Seymour.
The coldness of Charles Seymour on a mission, like a grim reaper, with every movement more precise than the most precise instruments measured in this world, made him think of him as a robot... and yet he had human emotions?
Delight... He truly couldn’t handle such intense stimulation.
"Charles, you’re really great, truly. As long as a woman isn’t blind, maybe not loving you, but having a good impression of you is a certainty." Clutching his quivering little heart, Kai Bright continued to play the role of the caring older brother and emotional counselor.
