The text message alert interrupted Charles Seymour from looking at his own woman, and he impatiently took out his phone and opened it.
"Bro, can I come over for a meal?"
The simple, straightforward, and disdainful three words appeared, and Kai Bright nearly spat out old blood.
"I’m downstairs at your office." Kai Bright angrily tapped out one word at a time.
After all these years of friendship, is it really impossible to even get a meal?
It really broke his heart.
"I’m not at the office."
Seeing the message back, Kai Bright’s eyes suddenly lit up with a thick flame of gossip, as he quickly typed on the keyboard, asking, "Out on a date with my sister-in-law?"
"Your sister-in-law is on a date with someone else, I’m keeping an eye on her."
He seemed to not quite understand the meaning of Charles Seymour’s message.
Would Charles Seymour allow Sophie Wilson to date someone else?
Of course, he didn’t doubt Charles Seymour’s feelings for Sophie Wilson, and there’s no way Charles would hurt her.
At most, Sophie would arrive at the date location and not see her date.
As for whether that date was in the hospital or the morgue... that would depend on Charles Seymour’s mood.
So, Charles Seymour’s message earlier was still intriguing.
"What kind of date?" Kai Bright curiously sent a message to inquire.
If he didn’t figure it out, it would itch him inside, and he wouldn’t be able to sleep.
"Sophie saved someone, and that person invited her to a meal to thank her."
Charles Seymour was probably bored, so he had the patience to share the situation with Kai Bright.
Of course, Kai Bright was still somewhat of his emotional analyst, so Charles would share some situations with him, making it easier for Kai Bright to help him analyze later on.
Right after sending these two sentences, Kai Bright, with a strong desire to survive, quickly added another message: "Of course, no matter how handsome, he’s not as handsome as you, my sister-in-law definitely won’t be interested!"
Just after sending this, he saw a message from Charles Seymour, a message containing only a punctuation mark—"?"
Although it was just a question mark, Kai Bright could already feel the chilling coldness.
He quietly wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, feeling immensely grateful for his quick reaction and timely message.
The next message from Charles Seymour allowed Kai Bright to let out a sigh of relief; since he was still sending messages, it meant he wasn’t in a rage.
He opened it and glanced at the message, and Kai Bright’s head was once again filled with a series of ellipses.
"A woman, fifty years old."
Kai Bright took a deep breath, deep breath, deep breath again, calming his emotions down a bit.
Typing one word at a time forcefully, he tried to convey his aggrieved emotions.
"A woman, what are you so nervous about? Why go over and watch? How do you expect my sister-in-law to feel? What if she finds out?"
"She doesn’t need to find out, I’ll pretend to run into her."

He didn’t consider Sophie to be foolish.
At most, she might realize it but pretend not to know and just indulge Charles Seymour.

"No, bro, a woman, fifty years old, what’s there for you to watch?" Kai Bright found Charles Seymour’s thought process a bit incomprehensible.
If it were a handsome young man, or even just a guy, that would make more sense.
This date poses no threat at all, right?
