"Uncle, don’t worry, I’ve sorted out all the contract stuff for Aunt," Julian Campbell repeatedly assured Charles Seymour.
Charles nodded slightly and then instructed the driver to start the car.
"You’re overdoing it," Benjamin Smith said, watching Julian still waving at the departing car and rolling his eyes, "Can your uncle still see you?"
"Honestly, who am I doing this for?" Julian snapped back, aiming a kick at him. "If it weren’t for you insisting on bringing my aunt over for acting, do you think I’d need to carefully appease my uncle ?"
"Don’t you think your aunt perfectly fits the role of the second female lead? When she dances the rumba, it’s so fiery and passionate; it just reminds you of a beautiful first love. She’s like the epitome of the perfect lover... Why are you looking at me like that?" Benjamin noticed Julian’s peculiar gaze, making him uncomfortable.
"You’re creeping me out."
Julian sneered twice, "If you keep talking like that, believe it or not, my uncle will make grass grow on your grave."
Creeped out? That’s nothing!
Grass growing is the ultimate end.
"I’m just excited," Benjamin, not being dumb, cooled down his excited brain and realized what Julian was implying, "Your uncle is really jealous, isn’t he?"
"I’ve never seen my uncle care so much about anyone," Julian remarked with a snort.
Even when those two annoying people from the Seymour Family hopped around him, my uncle could completely ignore them.
Because those two aren’t even worth a glance from my uncle.
As for my aunt... she hasn’t just caught my uncle’s eye; she’s rooted in his heart.
Back home, Sophie Wilson bounced into her room to change, and Charles Seymour watched her cheerful figure leap away, even her hair swaying with lighthearted excitement.
Charles didn’t say anything but went to his room to change clothes and made a phone call.
Just as he finished changing, there was a knock on his door.
Charles opened the door to find Sophie standing there with two cups of freshly squeezed juice, smiling widely at him.
"Do you dislike me going to act?" Sophie handed one cup to Charles and asked softly.
He seemed to always have a serious expression.
Charles shook his head, thought for a moment, and gave a reason, "Acting is hard work."
"I won’t make it my career," Sophie said with a bright smile, "I don’t know why, but suddenly, the script seemed really good, and it interested me."
Charles felt a tremor inside, but fortunately, he was used to keeping his emotions in check, showing no outward signs.
"If you like it, go ahead and do it," Charles calmly replied, "As long as you enjoy it."
Sophie was taken aback for a moment, then a warm smile spread across her lips, "Why are you so good to me? You’ll spoil me."
