"Hey, why hasn’t Sophie Wilson come back after work? Doesn’t she need to clock out?"
At quitting time, everyone was lined up at the attendance clock by the door, but Eva looked around and didn’t see Sophie Wilson, so she asked in a mocking tone.
"She’s really something, isn’t she? Does she think the company is her home, coming and going as she pleases?"
After complaining, Eva clocked out and took the elevator downstairs.
As soon as she reached the ground floor, something caught her eye.
Isn’t that Sophie’s wealthy boyfriend over there?
Just as she was about to approach, Eva hesitated. The car behind Charles Seymour wasn’t the one from the dinner the other day.
"Hmph, turns out he’s just pretending to be rich," Eva muttered derisively.
"Wow, is that..." someone nearby exclaimed, catching Eva’s attention, "What are you shouting about?"
"Can’t I be excited?" said a male colleague from the same company, who was a car enthusiast and, moreover, someone who didn’t like Eva.
After snapping at Eva, he turned to explain to the colleague next to him, "See that car? It’s way better than the one Charles Seymour drove last time. Don’t even mention the price; even if you have the money, you might not be able to buy it—it’s limited edition!"
"The key is that this brand is rare. If he hadn’t driven a luxury car here last time, I wouldn’t have recognized this brand when I saw it."
"Rich people! They’re really loaded!"
The male colleague clucked his tongue in admiration, which turned Eva’s face dark.
Charles Seymour is not just rich; he’s extremely rich!
Why on earth would someone so wealthy take a fancy to Sophie Wilson?
The angry Eva suddenly thought of something, her eyes shifted, and she started smiling.
Wouldn’t it be interesting to see how someone like him reacts when he finds out his girlfriend is fooling around?
Eva had an idea in mind and walked over, smiling, "Mr. Seymour, are you waiting for Sophie?"
Naturally, Charles Seymour had no fondness for Eva, who schemed against Sophie. When he saw her approaching, he just stood there coldly, ignoring her.
However, Eva was here with a purpose, so she didn’t mind Charles’s indifferent attitude.
"Don’t wait any longer; Sophie’s already left." This finally elicited a response from Charles Seymour, "Left?"
"Indeed, she left in the afternoon without even asking for leave. Who knows where she went? She hasn’t returned to clock out after work either." Eva intentionally spoke ambiguously, leading Charles Seymour’s thoughts astray.
With a dark face, Charles Seymour took out his phone and dialed Sophie Wilson. As soon as the call connected, he bluntly asked, "You’re not at the company?"
After getting the answer he wanted, Charles Seymour hung up silently, got back in the car, and had the driver drive away.
"Sophie Wilson, let’s see how you get out of this!" Eva smirked triumphantly with clenched teeth.
That Charles Seymour’s face was as dark as a pot bottom; he seemed really furious. He was probably going to find Sophie Wilson to settle this.
Sophie Wilson finally got a blind rich guy interested in her and didn’t know how to make the most of it, instead getting involved with her uncle.
She’s digging her own grave; no one can save her!
Lucy Wells had witnessed everything and rushed off to call Sophie Wilson to explain the situation: "...Sophie, make sure to explain things clearly to Mr. Seymour, so there are no misunderstandings."
"Yeah, I got it, don’t worry Lucy, it’s fine. Thank you." After hanging up, Sophie Wilson shrugged and sneered, Eva really can’t sit still, huh?
