Sophie Wilson looked encouragingly at Lucy Wells.
Lucy Wells gritted her teeth and spat out a word: "No!"
Once she got the first word out, the rest followed smoothly.
"I won’t regret it!" Lucy’s words were like an invisible slap, hitting Joshua Wright’s face hard.
Especially in front of so many people, how could Joshua Wright, who’s always cared about his reputation, bear it?
"Lucy Wells, think it through!" Joshua Wright threatened, gritting his teeth viciously, "If you break up with me today, even if you beg me on your knees later, I won’t come back!"
"Thank you, but who needs a man like you?" Sophie Wilson coldly laughed, standing up for Lucy Wells. It was already hard enough for Lucy to reach this point, and she would handle the rest.
"You’ve already broken up, so why are you still clinging to our Lucy if you’re so outstanding? Have some shame!"
"Fine, fine... you’re something, Lucy Wells, really something!" Joshua Wright pointed at Lucy Wells, gritting his teeth heavily before turning away, shoving through the onlookers with irritation, "What are you looking at? Move aside!"
With the spectacle over, the crowd dispersed.
Sophie Wilson led Lucy Wells outside; there was a long line of people queuing to pay at the cashier.
Charles Seymour pushed the shopping cart to the side and spoke with a supermarket staff member, who then moved the cart away.
"Let’s go first." Charles Seymour pointed to the exit without a shopping line, and the three of them smoothly exited.
Charles Seymour called for a driver who conveniently parked at the entrance.
"Lucy, should I take you home, or do you want to grab a meal somewhere before heading back?" Sophie Wilson asked.
Lucy Wells anxiously squeezed her hands: "I’d like to go back a bit later."
Breaking up with Joshua Wright seemed to have exhausted all her courage, and she was still slightly trembling.
"There’s a quiet Cantonese restaurant over there," Charles Seymour suggested.
"Okay." Sophie Wilson nodded, and Charles Seymour drove them over, booked a private room, then left directly, "Call me when you’re done eating."

"He had some business to take care of first." Sophie Wilson smiled as she sat down and asked, "What do you feel like eating?"
"Anything." Lucy Wells finished speaking and apologetically looked at Sophie Wilson, "Sophie, I’m really bothering you."
It wasn’t that Sophie’s boyfriend had business; he was being considerate, not staying to avoid making her uncomfortable.
"Why are you talking about bothering between us?" Sophie Wilson waved her hand indifferently, "In that case, I’ll just order casually then."
At this moment, Lucy Wells probably didn’t have much appetite, so Sophie Wilson ordered some dishes that girls usually like.
"Actually, I’ve always wished to get married sooner, so my mom could be relieved," Lucy expressed painfully, "and wouldn’t have to hear gossip from my uncle and aunt."
"What kind of gossip?" Sophie Wilson frowned and said discontentedly, "You’re living in your grandmother’s house; what are they fussing about?"
Lucy Wells smiled bitterly and helplessly: "My uncle and aunt always think my mom and I are occupying the house and want me to get married sooner. That way, the house would be vacated."
She didn’t want her mom and grandmother to face difficulties, so she always wanted to marry quickly.
