The last sentence made Sophie Wilson’s nose tingle, and uncontrollable tears welled up in her eyes.
With him around, she surely wouldn’t die.
He could even give her his heart without hesitation; what was there to fear about him?
All her hesitation and anxiety disappeared in an instant because of his cold threat.
Sniffing and holding back the tears in her eyes, Sophie walked to the table, wearing her bunny slippers, and huffed, "You smashed my breakfast, what am I supposed to eat? You’re trying to starve me to death!"
Seeing Sophie sitting at the dining table, Charles Seymour’s eyes calmed down from their violent storm. He sneered coldly, "Don’t worry, you still have value now, I won’t let you starve to death."
With Charles’ words, the maid immediately placed a steaming bowl of noodles in front of Sophie.
The enticing aroma of the food made Sophie’s empty stomach growl, so fragrant.
But... with the corner of her eye, Sophie glanced at the bowl of noodles that had been smashed and cleaned up by the maid, it seemed as though it had no heat at all and had already gone cold.

Seeing Sophie put down her chopsticks, Charles spoke without a trace of emotion, "We can discuss the debt issue between us now."
"All right," Sophie’s casualness made Charles frown, but it did not hinder what he wanted to say next, "You have two choices: one, repay the money..."
"I choose the second option," Sophie replied without hesitation, meeting Charles’ puzzled gaze. She shrugged helplessly, "I definitely can’t repay it, so naturally, I must choose the second one."
"The second one?" Coldness flashed in Charles’ eyes, "What kind of trick are you playing now?"
"How am I playing tricks?" Sophie felt extremely wronged; she was cooperating and yet he was still being aggressive.
This person was really hard to please.
"Since you chose the second option, why did you run before?" Charles asked with a frown, assuming she took him for a fool.
Because she hadn’t been reborn at that time.
Of course, this answer was something Sophie wouldn’t admit to even if she went crazy.
"You weren’t the one chasing me for the debt, of course I ran," Sophie started saying, then continued to fabricate her reasoning, "Suddenly someone jumps out saying I should become a test subject to settle a debt, how would I know if you’re real or fake? What if you’re a scammer? Wouldn’t I be at a loss?"
"Then why are you willing now?" Charles asked in a cold tone.
"Because you’re handsome," Sophie answered without hesitation, handsome enough to hand over his own heart, truly one of a kind in the world.
Truly, his handsomeness was to die for!
