"Sophie Wilson!" Eva bit out these three words heavily, "Lucy Wells’s good friend, you must know her, right?"
"Her?" Joshua Wright’s eyes darkened with resentment, "Does she have that kind of power?"
At the mention of this, a strong sense of hatred appeared on Eva’s face, surprisingly similar to Joshua Wright’s, "She doesn’t possess that ability, but Sophie Wilson has a wealthy boyfriend."
"Posting so many things online, sharing, isn’t something a little money can solve." Eva’s words made Joshua Wright nod repeatedly, "So it’s her causing trouble again!"
He remembered talking to the introducer, Daisy Lewis, Lucy Wells’s aunt, about his breakup with Lucy Wells. At first, Daisy Lewis promised to have a good talk with Lucy Wells and make her come and apologize to him.
Unexpectedly, less than half a day later, Daisy Lewis called back saying that Lucy Wells’s colleague was too cunning and stirred things up, ruining the whole matter.
"Isn’t it just her!" Eva said resentfully, "My job was ruined by her!"
"Joshua Wright, are you interested in joining forces?"
In the face of Eva’s proposal, Joshua Wright hesitated, "Her boyfriend is so rich, dealing with them... could be difficult?"
He had no connections in the Imperial City. If he offended someone he shouldn’t, how would he survive there in the future?
"You don’t need to worry about that." Eva said with a cold smile, "Her boyfriend doesn’t like her that much."
"Doesn’t like her?" Joshua Wright found Eva’s words somewhat laughable. Not like her, yet for her colleague, they drove him to ruin and got him fired?
"If your girlfriend were an illegitimate daughter who owed loan sharks, would you keep her?" Eva sneered, like a poisonous snake hissing from the shadows.
"An illegitimate daughter?" Joshua Wright exclaimed.
"That’s what the legitimate wife said herself. A daughter of a mistress wanting to grab the legitimate children’s inheritance, do you think the legitimate wife would allow it?" Eva’s words made Joshua Wright’s eyes gleam with delight, "What do you suggest we do?"
After leaving the café, Joshua Wright felt rejuvenated.
As for Eva, she happily made a phone call: "Sister Carter, thank you for the information."
If it weren’t for Sister Carter, how would she have known such lively things were happening at the company?
Sophie Wilson had offended Joshua Wright, trying to annihilate him online.
She promised Lily Warren to deal with Sophie Wilson, but having an extra helper gave her more security.
Catherine Carter laughed and said, "No thanks needed, we’re colleagues after all. I just can’t stand Sophie Wilson’s bullying attitude!"
"Don’t worry, Sister Carter, she won’t last much longer." Eva said with a smile, "Sister Carter, just wait for a reward from the boss’s wife."
"Ah, ah, good, good, still nice to hang out with you." Catherine Carter chuckled as she hung up the phone, pumping her arm excitedly.
Eva had the boss’s wife as her backing, grabbing Eva’s big strong leg meant good days ahead!
She was indeed very wise!
When returning to the office, Catherine Carter brushed past Sophie Wilson with a disdainful snort.
Leaving Sophie Wilson bewildered, was Sister Carter crazy?
