Lily’s compliment made Grace feel a bit embarrassed and she smiled, but her pride was unmistakable.
She was quite proud of her performance, as these two deals were going to bring considerable profit to the company.
"Well done." Stephen also showed a smile of approval towards Grace.
Receiving Stephen’s affirmation made Grace smile even brighter, but she hadn’t forgotten the main purpose of this meeting.
It was to let everyone in the company know that Sophie was no match for her.
The managers of the subsidiaries reported on their quarterly performance one after another, with Edward Palmer being the last to report. After all, the property prices in Edward’s region were relatively lower compared to other subsidiaries.
Most people over there were working class, and such families care more about cost-effectiveness in renovations. Even if there were many orders, they were small and low-priced.
Every time the company’s performance rankings come out, Edward’s subsidiary is always at the bottom.

"Mom, please don’t say that," Grace quickly advised Lily. "Sophie certainly wouldn’t do such a thing; even if there was a small mistake, it is understandable. Sophie might not be familiar with the business yet, she just needs more learning."
"More learning? How long has she been at the subsidiary already? Is this about learning?" Lily snorted. "Can’t even learn properly; what can she grasp?"
"Enough!" Stephen finally spoke, looking at Edward. "What exactly did Sophie do to impact the quarterly statistics?"
