Qiao Dingshan knew that his colleague really missed having a son like mad. It wasn’t that he didn’t like his daughter; in fact, he loved his daughter very much. One loves their own children dearly. And the little fatty was Taotao. He was all round and chubby, having gained even more weight recently, looking cuter and more darling by the day. He was being held by Qiao Dingshan, holding a small pack of snacks in his hand, his little face covered as he ate, yet still an adorable and warmly charming little fatty.
He took one out, was about to pop it into his own mouth, but then he extended his chubby hand in front of Qiao Dingshan.
With his baby voice, he said,
Qiao Dingshan kissed his little cheek, "My Taotao is so sweet, always thinking of daddy."
The little fatty smiled, his eyes curving into crescents, his tender and lovely appearance, irresistibly charming.
"My little fatty," the admirer dashed over, aiming to snatch Taotao from Qiao Dingshan’s arms, "I’ve told you, Qiao Dingshan, you’re really not playing fair. I said I wanted to kidnap this little fatty, and now you’ve brought him here. Come here, little fatty, let your uncle give you a hug."
Taotao dodged the admirer’s hand, turned his little face away, and continued eating his snacks. Qiao Dingshan just gave him a glance.
Were clearly the embodiment of two naked words.
Qiao Dingshan rubbed Taotao’s little head, and Taotao laughed with his mouth wide open. Right then, someone else came over and reached out towards Taotao.
"Come here, Taotao, let your uncle give you a hug."
Taotao blinked, then glanced at his dad. Qiao Dingshan smiled encouragingly at him, and only then did Taotao extend his little hand to be held by the man. He must really be someone familiar; otherwise, with Taotao’s character of not taking easily to strangers, he wouldn’t let someone just pick him up.
You know him, the little fatty’s admirer finally realized, his gaze shifting back and forth between Qiao Dingshan and the man holding Taotao.
Qiao Dingshan pinched Taotao’s chubby cheek.
Proudly, he said, "His name is Taotao; he’s my son."
And the little fatty’s admirer felt as if struck by a thunderbolt. His little fatty had vanished.
Everyone knows Qiao Dingshan has a son, whom he cherishes like a treasure. He is the only child of three generations in his family, and the whole family dotes on him dearly. Moreover, the Qiao Family is no ordinary family; and the Jian Family, now a prominent player in the political arena of Capital City and related to the Qiao Family by marriage, would certainly not let just anyone take the little fatty away. The only people Qiao Dingshan would trust are his own family and the Jian Family.
