Rebirth in 1980: The Farm Wife Makes a Comeback Chapter 532

What she didn't know was that though they found current real estate prices high, it would only get higher each year; money would become even more devalued, and homes unaffordable.

Li Li picked a unit on the seventh floor of that building, close to the hospital, while Dongsheng used Granny Lu's money to buy one near the restaurant. He had thought it through; in the future, he planned to bring Li Li's parents over to live. With the two units, it worked out perfectly to have an extra one to accommodate his mother-in-law's family, and they would feel better living separately.

Hearing this, Li Li both cried and laughed, exclaiming that she didn't choose the wrong person.

After the wedding, the couple moved out. Latest content publıshed on 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝⟡𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕥⟡𝕟𝕖𝕥

Actually, Qin Xiangnuan still felt it was best for the whole family to live together. However, Dongsheng's pride was too strong.

There was no helping it—each had to live their own lives.

"Mommy..." A little dough ball ran over and hugged Qin Xiangnuan's legs.

Qin Xiangnuan bent down and, seeing the little scoundrel's face, really felt like giving someone a beating.

"Little San, how did you manage to make your face look ? Are you asking for a spanking?"

Little San blinked his clear, distinct eyes; his delicate features were astounding. Even with a streak here and there on his face, one couldn't deny his good looks; even if he resembled a striped cat, he was still adorably pinchable.

"Did you do something bad?" Qin Xiangnuan frowned. This little guy, he must have knocked over his ink, right?

"No, no," Little San hurriedly shook his head, "Little San has been good, I did write," he extended his plump little white hands for Qin Xiangnuan to see.

Those chubby little hands were so fair and tender, Qin Xiangnuan couldn't help but adore them, really wanting to take a bite.

She took the little fatty's hands and resignedly washed them clean.

These three children, from the moment they learned to comprehend, were taught to start practicing calligraphy. Even before they could recognize characters, they had learned to hold a brush. The Jians had maintained the tradition of writing Spring Festival couplets for several years now. It was not about making money; rather, it was more of a cultural practice.

Every year during the Spring Festival, Qin Xiangnuan, Mr. Li, and Mr. Sun would set up stalls to write couplets while others sold them. Jian Zhiqin and Taotao earned tuition and pocket money themselves, becoming little tycoons in their own right.

Therefore, they were more eager than anyone to sell Spring Festival couplets.

As for the children's education, Qin Xiangnuan didn't mention other aspects, but writing well was essential. She herself benefited greatly from this practice. Calligraphy serves as a "facade"; a good hand can benefit one for life. It can cultivate character. Many small details can influence a person's entire life. Little San in particular, with his impetuous nature, sometimes really made her want to spank him.

She took Little San by the hand to a study room specially set up for the three little ones.

Small tables and small chairs—it wasn't just for playing house. These three had to learn calligraphy.

Daxuan and Xiao Xuan were seriously practicing, but Little San had managed to get the calligraphy all over his face.

"Go and write," Qin Xiangnuan pinched Little San's cheek, directing him to sit properly and write.

"Mommy, I've practiced."

He emphasized that he had written it well, but his mother had washed it away.

Qin Xiangnuan's face was cold, and she stopped talking.

Little San had learned to read facial expressions. He pouted his small lips and sat down on his little stool, clumsily writing characters with a pen.

Qin Xiangnuan didn't bother with him anymore. This child would become unmanageable if not disciplined every three days. Fortunately, she was looking after him, otherwise, he really would have started monkeying around.

Qin Xiangnuan took Daxuan's writing. For a child, it was very well done. Although the limbs were not perfectly aligned, she could tell that Daxuan had been very serious about writing. He also had a strong personality, like her, insisting on doing a job well.

She patted Daxuan on the head, "Daxuan wrote well. How about Daddy takes you out tonight for a nice meal, okay?"

"Okay," Daxuan nodded his little head, his tiny lips pursed tightly, looking very much like a miniature Jian Zhiqing.

Xiao Xuan was also eagerly waiting for his mother's praise, because he had been working hard too. He had sat still without moving, although he himself didn't know what he had written.

"Yes, Xiao Xuan also performed well," Qin Xiangnuan complimented Xiao Xuan, revealing his grin like little rice grains, making Qin Jinuan unable to resist kissing him a few times.

Xiao Xuan shyly dodged, trying to move away, but then buried his little head in his mother's embrace.

Qin Xiangnuan picked up Xiao Xuan, sighing that he had gotten heavier again.

Little San looked pitifully aggrieved, almost ready to cry, with tears swirling in his eyes. Was he trying to compete for affection? Qin Tongnuan ignored him completely, not willing to let him get away with acting cute or pretending to be endearing and thinking that was the end of it.

Daxuan and Xiao Xuan were well-behaved and didn't need her worry. They completed the tasks she set well. But this Little San was truly the odd one out among the three brothers.

He loved to play the victim - it must be in his nature. That's why Qin Xiangnuan just ignored him.

After feeling sorry for himself for a bit, seeing no one was paying him attention, Little San could only purse his lips and continue writing with his pen, occasionally shedding tears. Qin Xiangnuan felt for him, but there was no choice. If his temperament wasn't shaped well now, who knew what kind of little tyrant he would grow into.

Everyone in the family was fondest of and doted on him the most. They would buy him anything he wanted. Compared to Daxuan and Xiao Xuan, Qin Xiangnuan was actually most worried about this child.

Thus, he needed good disciplining, lest he really become unruly in just a few days time.

When Jian Zhiqing came home, Qin Xiangnuan indeed fulfilled her promise to take the little ones out for a treat. However, Little San was excluded because his behavior was just too poor. At first, he scribbled on his face, then made a mess on the paper, not having written a single word. In comparison to his two brothers, he was just too far behind. That's why, when the family went out for food and fun, Little San was left out.

Qin Xiangnuan handed Little San over to Granny Lu directly. The rims of his eyes turned red like a rabbit's. Granny Lu felt very sorry for him, trying to console him, but the more she consoled him, the more aggrieved he felt. Yet he knew he couldn't cry; otherwise, his mother would ignore him for days.

This was the first lesson Qin Xiangnuan had for Little San, letting him understand not everyone is going to coddle him, nor should everyone cater to him.

He had temperament; so did others.

When they returned home, one child in each arm, Little San stood stubbornly at the door, refusing to come inside. Seeing his family of four, tears splashed down like rain, looking much like a bullied puppy.

He insisted on standing there, and Granny Lu was at her wits' end with him. This child was exactly like you in temperament: once fixated on something, stubborn as anything.
