"I haven’t offended anyone," Tang Mingli looked bewilderedly at Ding Chao. These last few days he had been busy dealing with Tang Zhengde’s affairs and hadn’t even realized there were problems at the factory.
He only arrived at the factory half an hour earlier than Tang Yue.
All the procedures Tang Mingli handled on normal days, including the workers’ food and their salaries, were all prepared clear and transparent.
"Uncle, our factory operates honestly. Just let them investigate for a few days," Tang Yue’s heart sank.
"That’s right, we aren’t afraid if our conscience is clear," Tang Mingli said righteously.
Ding Chao hesitated to speak, thinking that if someone really wanted to target the clothing factory, even if they are innocent, faults could still be found like picking bones from an egg.
"Xiao Yue, do you know who might have done this?" Bai Qing asked.
"Not sure," Tang Yue replied tersely, adding, "Bai Qing, I’m really sorry, I haven’t taken you out since I’ve been back."
"It’s okay." Bai Qing accompanied Tang Yue back to the hospital, and just as they reached the road, they bumped into Meng Yanzhi.
Bai Qing’s pupils constricted, seemingly realizing who was targeting Tang Mingli’s factory.
Tang Yue didn’t show a hint of warmth to Meng Yanzhi.
"I heard your uncle’s factory ran into problems," Meng Yanzhi’s cold voice chimed in.
"I just heard about it while having dinner with someone," Meng Yanzhi explained.
"Is that so? Then, I’d really like to ask, if my uncle’s clothing factory has been operating properly and abiding by the law, why would someone target it?" Tang Yue asked skeptically.
"Xiao Yue, I can help you," Meng Yanzhi quickly changed the subject.
"What’s your condition?" Tang Yue retorted.
"Xiao Yue," Bai Qing reminded her softly.
Meng Yanzhi smiled faintly and said, "Xiao Yue, I fell in love with you at first sight, be my girlfriend."
"If you become my girlfriend, then your problems become my problems. It’s only natural for me to help, and it’d be easier to speak on your behalf," seeing her hesitation, Meng Yanzhi felt hopeful and continued, "Even the issues with your dad, I could persuade that person to back off from suing your father."
"No need," Tang Yue replied coldly, her words crisp and clear, she enunciated her refusal without any courtesy.
"Meng Yanzhi, regardless of whether these issues involve you, your conditions, I will not agree to," Tang Yue firmly and conclusively stated: "I have a fiancé, and I love him deeply. I plan to spend my life with him, so I won’t be your girlfriend."
With that, Tang Yue turned around and left, not giving Meng Yanzhi any chance to respond.
Bai Qing silently applauded Tang Yue; given Meng Yanzhi’s background at Jinghua University where no one dared to provoke him and the wealth of the Meng Family, not to mention Meng Yanzhi’s own attractiveness and wealth, it was extraordinary for her to refuse him so boldly.
Meng Yanzhi watched Tang Yue’s resolute departing figure, his smile slowly fading.
"Tang Yue, I hope you won’t regret what you said today."
Meng Yanzhi muttered to himself, stepping briskly into his car and commanded, "Mingyue Clothing Factory doesn’t need to continue operating."
"Yes," his subordinate responded.
"Xiao Yue, having offended Meng Yanzhi, this matter might become even more troublesome," Bai Qing warned.
"There’s always a way out; I refuse to believe Meng Yanzhi can cover the sky with one hand," Tang Yue was steely, ever since her rebirth, she had invested so much into creating Mingyue Clothing Factory and managing her father’s Zhenghua Restaurant.
Although it was hard, everything was developing in a good direction.
But now, just because Meng Yanzhi took a fancy to her, he wants to negate all the efforts their family had put in before.
Tang Yue naturally felt indignant.
Tang Yue began searching everywhere for information about Liu Hu’s illegitimate child; the factory was clean, they couldn’t possibly distort the truth, but Mr. Tang’s issues were more troublesome.

A quarter of an hour later, inside a private room in the best hotel in Wangjiang County.
"I’m Meng Yanzhi, from Jinghua University, I’m schoolmates with Tang Yue," Meng Yanzhi said with a smile.
Tang Mingli paused, then asked, "Are you from Jing City?"
"Yes." Meng Yanzhi nodded.
Tang Mingli was silent for a moment before asking, "What do you want?"
"I heard that your clothing factory is in trouble. I’m a schoolmate of Tang Yue’s, so I specifically came to show concern," Meng Yanzhi said righteously.
"Thank you," Tang Mingli responded.
Meng Yanzhi took the initiative to say, "I know you are Tang Yue’s uncle; I won’t beat around the bush. I’m smitten with Tang Yue; I fell in love with her at first sight. Thus, I can solve this matter, but..."
’Slam’ Tang Mingli, with a darkened face, stood up from his seat and sneered, "Meng Yanzhi, perhaps you are rich and capable, but you underestimate the Tang Family too much."
"Tang Mingli, if no one helps you, it’s likely your clothing factory will never open again," Meng Yanzhi responded to Tang Mingli’s attitude without irritation. Power can change many things; Tang Mingli can rage now, but what will he do when he has nothing?
"Heh, if my clothing factory depends on selling my niece, I would rather not have the factory."
Tang Mingli retorted and turned to leave; when he reached the door, he stepped back and said, "With such despicable means, you don’t deserve love."
After leaving the hotel, Tang Mingli wanted to go and warn Tang Yue, to tell her to stay far away from Meng Yanzhi, but halfway there, Tang Mingli stopped, wondering what good informing Tang Yue would do?
Tang Mingli returned to the factory; besides Uncle Gen, Deng Lanhua and her husband, and Zhu Yuanchao and his wife, all other workers had left.
The vast new factory hall was originally filled with busy workers, but now, it was empty.
