Through the transformation by blood power, the Tier Three water-attribute mana crystal had changed its properties. A blood-attribute mana crystal—there was likely only this one in the world...

(Note: More special unit types can only be created by obtaining 'unit blueprints' via sacrifice, and require prerequisite buildings. Buildings not included in the tech tree must first be unlocked via blueprint acquisition through sacrifice before construction.)
"This... it's this complicated?"
System: This is the Blood Altar tech tree. Death, abyss, and Soul Altar tech trees are not yet unlocked. Please continue your efforts, host.
"Right, this is only the power of one altar—so Corrosion and Purification... are these the two tech routes of the vampire race?"
