In this dormitory, there were four bunk beds, accommodating eight people. Lu Siyuan was the third to move in, taking the lower bunk by the door. Lu Siyuan glared at Du Xiaohui, almost bulging his eyes out in annoyance. Not only did they both get into Third Middle School and end up in the same class, but now they were also in the same dormitory? What kind of crappy luck was this?
"Oh! You’re here too?" Du Xiaohui’s expression was a stark contrast to Lu Siyuan’s.
The past issues he had with Lu Siyuan had long been forgotten, and now, coming from the same town, Du Xiaohui didn’t find Lu Siyuan annoying at all—in fact, quite the opposite.
Especially seeing Lu Siyuan’s disdainful demeanor towards him made Du Xiaohui feel even more at ease.
Lu Siyuan snorted, "I’m going to request a dorm change."
"Go ahead and change! It’s not like you can change your class or school anyway," Du Xiaohui said smugly, convinced that Lu Siyuan wouldn’t really move; it was probably just talk.
Lu Siyuan choked and couldn’t be bothered to respond. Just as he was about to take a shower, the student from the bunk above Du Xiaohui spoke up, "We’ll be living together for the next two or three years, so let’s introduce ourselves and get to know one another. My name’s Fu Geng, from the senior second class. What are your names?"
"Lu Siyuan, from the junior first class."
"Du Xiaohui, from the junior first class."
"Yu Fei, from the junior first class."
The other guys followed suit and introduced themselves. After the introductions, Fu Geng looked for a topic and asked, "Lu Siyuan, Du Xiaohui, you guys knew each other before?"
He had overheard some of their conversation earlier, which was why he asked.
"Yes," Du Xiaohui answered first. "Lu Siyuan and I both attended Li Town Middle School. We’ve known each other since then. We just weren’t in the same class. We even got into a fight once and were punished by standing together."
Lu Siyuan gave him a sideways glance, acknowledging what he said.
The others hadn’t expected Lu Siyuan and Du Xiaohui to have such a history and curiously stared at the two.
Yu Fei kindly reminded them, "Don’t fight again, alright? High school isn’t like middle school; fighting can get you expelled."
It would be a huge loss to be expelled after getting into high school for fighting.
Though they were at Third Middle School, which didn’t have students scoring as well as those at the top two schools, they were still the cream of the crop, coming out ahead from dozens of students. With hard work, they could still go to university.
Du Xiaohui and Lu Siyuan glanced at each other, neither willing to back down, then averted their eyes.
"You’re all from the junior first class and all came from Li Town Middle School, so do you know Shen Mianmian, the top student in the city? I heard that girl is not only great at studying but also really pretty. Is that true?" Fu Geng, full of curiosity, stared at them, eager to know if the rumors were indeed true.
The others also turned their gaze towards the two. They were at an age of innocent youthfulness, beginning to grasp the concept of romance. The arrival of a celebrity at the school had piqued their curiosity.
