Li Shiping stood at the top of the stairs, overhearing the conversation clearly, and felt an overwhelming sense of guilt. She had anticipated Dongcheng would seek out Shen Mianmian but had not imagined his intentions to be so malicious, hoping to prevent Mianmian from continuing her education.
What was to be done in such a situation?
After Shen Mianmian had entered the study, she immediately focused on her studies and did not pay much attention to the conversation outside.
