As they arrived at the entrance of the house, they saw a car parked at the gate. Old Xu’s eyes lit up, "Xiaonan is here."
Grandpa He snorted, "This stinky boy, he still remembers he has a grandfather."
The gate was open, and as they entered, they saw He Nan sitting on the couch reading the newspaper. Hearing them, he put down the paper, looked over, glanced briefly at the bag in Old Xu’s hand, and then stood up, calling out, "Grandpa, Uncle Xu."
Grandpa He glared at him, "So you still know I’m your grandfather."
Old Xu laughed, "The old master misses you. He was just saying that it’s been over a week since you last came to see him."
After speaking, he took his things and went to the kitchen.
"I’ve been quite busy lately,"

Grandpa He’s gaze flickered, "I gave her a day off."
He Nan nodded and then said unexpectedly, "Seeing the noodles you bought are enough for a week, I thought she was taking a week off."
"Eat for a week?" Grandpa He said. "Recently, I’ve had a good appetite. Xiaoxu and I could finish that in two days at most."
"It’s good to have a healthy appetite," He Nan nodded earnestly.
Grandpa He snorted coldly, "A few days ago, Xiaohua came by and said you’re seeing someone and even sponsoring a university student?"
He Nan nodded in acknowledgment.
Grandpa He’s face darkened, "Such a significant matter as dating and you don’t tell me. Do I even exist in your eyes as your grandfather?"
"I’m not in a position to bring her to meet you now," He Nan explained.
"What’s the inconvenience?" Grandpa He glared with fury, "Do I, an old man, look like I’ll eat her?"
He Nan said gravely, "She’s not ready yet, and you know how my mom is. If they meet now, it might not be a good thing; the timing isn’t right."
Grandpa He huffed twice, seemingly relenting a bit, "If it’s really inconvenient to bring her home, then don’t bring her!"
Changing the subject, he added, "Since it’s not convenient to bring your girlfriend over, bring over that student you’re sponsoring for me to see! I heard the girl scored first in the province; I want to see what kind of girl can achieve such results."
He Nan fell silent for a moment, then said, "I’ll have to ask her opinion on this."
"Hmm." Grandpa He was surprisingly easy-going this time and specifically instructed, "Just bring the girl here directly when it’s time, don’t let Xiaohua know beforehand."
Grandpa He knew Fu Hua’s temper; she didn’t like Shen Mianmian, and if the two met, she would probably not show a good face. The atmosphere would definitely be discordant, so it might be better not to inform her.
